Other Information

A good arrest made by members of the team this week.

On the evening of 12th December 2014 a male who was
identified from CCTV footage was arrested for Theft
offences. The arrest was in relation to vehicles attacked
that had been parked up on Yardley Green Road.

Headlines
Over the last three weeks there has been 13 Theft from
Motor Vehicles and 2 Theft of Motor Vehicles. Offences
whereby the vehicles have been targeted for items left on
display have happened at various locations across the
Bordesley Green Ward. At least four offences were
vehicles targeted near to park land at the bottom of
Yardley Green Road, an area where offenders are finding
it easy to attack vehicles due to lack of security or owners
leaving items where they have been easily spotted.
Though there were only two Thefts of Motor Vehicles one
was taken whereby a blue Flat Bed Tow Truck was used to
remove the vehicle without the owners consent.
There has been a spate of Shed Breaks over the last six
weeks in locations close to Heybarnes Road and homes
backing onto the recreation ground. Leaflets have been
delivered warning people to secure their property and offer
security advice. Officers are of the opinion that the same
person may be responsible for all the breaks and ask the
public to be vigilant. If you see anybody acting in a
suspicious manner dont hesitate to call us.
There have been four Robberies over the last three
weeks, one of these being where the victim has arranged
to buy a mobile phone at a meeting place and once there
they have been attacked and their mobile phone stolen.
The victim had been hit over the head before the offender
made off. Advice: Never go to a meeting point to buy
goods, if the seller doesnt offer to come to you or offer you
a home address to collect from you may be walking into
more than you bargained for.

Officers have put together a number of Criminal

Behaviour Orders for different offenders that are a
nuisance, offenders that cause Harassment Alarm and
Distress to members of the public on a daily basis, the
orders act similar to an Anti-Social Behaviour Order
putting actions in place by the courts to prevent further
offending.
