Montage
Description: A montage with a spiritual message
Process (Programs, Tools, Skills, Steps taken while designing): I
used Photoshop to design my project. I used two images then masked them
together. I had trouble with the text showing up so I used a drop shadow on
the text so it would be more visible. Most of the time when I work in Photoshop
I barely touch old layers after I make a new one but every layer was a vital piece
of this design. I also worked with the colors so that the attention would be on
the Savior.
Message: Although we may feel alone, our Savior will always be empathize
with us.
Audience: General public
Top Thing Learned: When you mask images its imperative that you choose
images that blend well together.
Filter / Colorization used and where it was applied: Diffuse glow on
the Savior

Photo Design
Description: A photo design project
Process (Programs, Tools, Skills): I strictly used Photoshop to create this project. I took the photo then brought it into Photoshop to edit the photo. I then chose a
color scheme and a design element to compliment it. I decided to take a little bit off
of the edges so the picture wouldnt have a hard line against the design. I chose the
red color scheme because of the coors that were in his shirt. I feel that they complimented the overall design well.
Message: I wanted to create a project that expressed the power of individuality
but I wanted to express vulnerability.
Audience: Potential employers
Top Thing Learned: I learned that design elements are really hard to incorporate
into a project but good planning will take you really far.
Color scheme and color names: red monochromatic; #790000, #FC0006,
#F9AD81

Kaylins Cupcakes

Description: I have created 3 logos for a pretend company called Kaylins cupcakes
Process (Programs, Tools, Skills): I used Adobe Illustrator to create this project. I really
focused on the FOCUS principles to help me execute this project. I took time to sketch my
ideas out because it really helped me create a vision for this project. I also made sure to really put a lot of emphasis into the color scheme because i havent done that in past projects. I
enjoyed this project because of the opportunities for creativity.

Event Ad
Description: This is an event flier for a fundraiser that is raising money to renovate the
Senior Center.
Process (Programs, Tools, Skills): I used Microsoft Word to create this project. It was
definitely easier to use than Indesign but it was harder to get creative. I I tried really hard to
have repeating elements and a color scheme that would unify the elements. I also contrasted
the typography to bring attention to the flier. I definitely felt more comfortable navigating
through this program than I did with Indesign.
Message: The message is to come to the pumpkin patch to help fundraise for the Senior
Center.
Audience: Families
Color scheme and color names: Analogous
Top Thing Learned: I learned how important it is to be prepared. Its so much harder to be
creative when youre racing to meet a deadline.

Letterhead
Description: Stationery for a company called City Caf.
Process: I used Adobe Illustrator to design the logo then I designed the business card
and stationery in Adobe InDesign. At first I was going to make a logo for a lemonade
company but then I got the idea to create something that had to do with a city. After I
had a definite idea it was really easy to work with Illustrator and create the logo. When
it came to designing the business card and stationery I had a bit of a difficult time but I
learned a lot about how typography can steer your project in many different directions. I
definitely enjoyed this project though.
Message: Im trying to invite the general public to come to City Caf through a trendy
and inviting business card and stationery.
Audience: The general public
Top Thing Learned: I learned that typography can either make or break your design.
Color scheme and color names: Monochromatic; navy blue, white, and gray
