Answer any 5 questions.
1. (a) find the energy required to assemble a uniform sphere of charge of radius b and volume
charge density

4. (a) Derive expression for wave equation in lossless medium and convert the wave equation to
Heimholtzs equation for sinusoidal time dependence.

normally on another loss-less medium with instrinsic impendence n2 through a plane
boundry. Obtain expression for the time average power densities in both medium .

6. (a) Derive expression for cut-off frequency of TM m,n node in a rectangular wave-gude. 7
(b)(i) Determine the wave impedance and guide wave length frequency eal to twince of the
cut-off frequency in a wave-guide for TM and TE nodes.
(ii) Repeat part (i) for a frequency equal to one-half of the cut-off frequency.
