A Message from Reverend Lanier. . .

July 17, 2014

Notice just twelve of these promises for

our needs and work:

Why You Can Have a

Good Day

Gods presence: I will never leave

thee (Hebrews 13:5).

The Future Is as Bright as the

Promises of God

Gods protection: I am thy shield

(Genesis 15:1).

by Dr. Paul Chappell

Gods power: I will strengthen thee

(Isaiah 41:10).

E v e r y m o r n i ng b r i n g s f r e s h
opportunitiesand fresh challenges.
Sometimes the challenges seem to
outweigh the opportunities. Sometimes its
difficult to see the opportunities embedded
in the challenges. Sometimeswith or
without challenges or opportunitiesits
just a rough day.
Thankfully, every morning also brings the
faithful promises of Godeach one just as
fresh today as when God first gave it.
When we forget Gods promises, we
flounder through our day relying on
human strength and faulty perception. But
when we remember and believe them, we
find provision for our needs and strength
for our labor.

Gods provision: I will help thee

(Isaiah 41:10).
Gods leading: And when He putteth
forth His own sheep, He goeth before
them (John 10:4) .
Gods purposes: I know the thoughts
that I think toward you, saith the
Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of
evil (Jeremiah 20:11).
Gods rest: Come unto Me, all ye that
labor and are heavy laden, and I will
give you rest (Matthew 11:28).
Gods cleansing: If we confess our
sins, He is faithful and just to forgive

us our sins, and to cleanse us from
all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
Gods goodness: No good thing will
He withhold from them that walk
uprightly (Psalm 84:11).
Gods faithfulness: The Lord will not
forsake His people for His great
names sake (1 Samuel 12:22).
Gods guidance: The meek will He
guide (Psalm 25:9).
Gods wise plan: All things work
together for good to them that love
God (Romans 8:28).
Gods presence, protection, leading, rest,
guidanceand more! Sounds like a good
day to me!

Mr. Cornelius A. Tart (1931-2014)

Revelation 14:13 - And I heard a voice
from heaven saying unto me, Write,
Blessed are the dead which die in the
Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the
Spirit, that they may rest from their
labours; and their works do follow
them.
Dear Brother Tart has ended his time on
earth and gone home to be with his Lord
and Saviour. He was a good man who
worked hard to support his family and
spent his life in service, sacrifice, and
giving for his family, his Lord, and his
church. Now he is at rest from his labors
here. Now he is reunited with his beloved
wife. Now he beckons the rest of his
family to follow him heavenward and
encourages us all to live the worth-while
life of faith in the only real Saviour of
sinful men. Now he is honored because he
took time to honor and respect the Lord
Jesus Christ and His precious Word. He
loved God and His Word. He enjoyed the
preaching of Gods Word and came to
every service he was able to attend.
Failing health and inability to make the trip
was the only thing that kept him out of the
house of God. Dear Brother Tart will be
missed among us, but he will be fondly
remembered as one of those College
Lakers who gave till he could no longer do
so. God Bless his memory and his family.
Goodnight dear friend - we will see you in
the morning.
Isaiah 25:8a,9 - He will swallow up
death in victory; and the Lord GOD will
wipe away tears from off all faces;
9: And it shall be said in that day, Lo,
this is our God; we have waited for
him, and he will save us: this is the
LORD; we have waited for him, we will
be glad and rejoice in his salvation.
Psalm 116:15 - Precious in the sight of
the LORD is the death of his saints.
