A mother finally gets closure . . .
Jill LaZare felt joy when Davis B. Mason, the man who neglected to report the death of
her daughter Brooke, was charged by a grand jury.
Brook was found death of a heroin overdose in an Elizabeth motel on may 8th, 2012. Jill
got contacted that day by the bank because of unusual activities on Brooks debit card,
she got no response when she tried to contact her daughter, then she called the police to
report her missing.
After having several meetings with Union county prosecutors office and appeal to local
legislators, Jill felt she wasnt being helped. In 2013, when Grace Park took over the
Union county prosecutor office, the case was reopened with a positive outcome for Jill.

Adults will get punished in New Jersey if children have access to weapons.

An incident occurred on Saturday when a 12 years old boy shot his 9 years old sister in
the chest with a gun that was unsecured in the house. Their mom was charged with
endangering the welfare of a child and also with unlawful possession of a weapon. The
girl was critical but stable condition at a Newark hospital last night.
In recent years, there have been several incidents where children get access to guns
ending in tragic consequences.
California is one of the strictest states in regards of unsecured weapons, where an adult
will get punished even if a child does not get access to the gun.
If found guilty in New Jersey, a person can face up to six months in jail and a fine of up
to one thousand dollars.

In National News

A doctor diagnosed with Ebola in Sierra Leon was brought to the United States.

Doctor Martin Salia, a native of Sierra Leon and legal permanent resident of the United
States, arrived last Saturday at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha to undergo
treatment.
He is extremely ill, we have multiple highly-trained specialists who are experts in their
fields targeting his most serious medical issues Dr. Phil Smith said.
According to an earlier statement from Nebraska Medical Center, the Sierra Leon team
that was caring for the patient characterized him as critical ill, possibly sicker then the
first patient successfully treated in the United States.
Salias wife, who is a United States citizen, requested that her husband be brought to the
United States to get treatment, she has agreed to reimburse the government for any
expenses.

The Saint Louis Post-Dispatch reported that the fatal encounter that ended with the
shooting of Michael Brown lasted less than two minutes. The incident took place on
August 9 in Ferguson, Missouri where officer Darren Wilson, a white police officer shot
Brown who was unarmed.
According to the report, at 12:02 p.m., Wilson requested a backup car stating that he was
on Canfield with two, referring to a street near where the fatal encounter occurred.
Dorian Johnson, Browns friend stated that they were walking when the officer
approached them and grabbed Brown by the neck and shot him.
A witness twitted that he just saw someone die at 12:03 p.m.

There have been several tourists who have illegally climbed the Brooklyn Bridge for
different reasons. Two German artists switched the American flags for white flags after
scaling both towers seven months ago. Two months ago, a Russian tourist who ascended
almost to the top of one of the towers was arrested. And the most recent was yesterday at
noon when a French tourist who climbed the Brooklyn Bridge was taken into custody.
His name was not revealed.

In International News

A 49-years-old man blew himself in his car outside his house in Homberg village in
Hesse state, Germany after a family argument. Before blowing himself, the man set off
explosives outside his house. The explosion injured seven people including family
members, neighbors and two police officers according to police spokesman Thomas
Rodemer. The bomber had a license to use explosives; his name was not released because
of germans privacy law.

New Zealand was struck Monday morning, local time, by a 6.7 magnitude earthquake.
Most of the country felt the quake according to GeoNet agency. According to the United
States Geological Survey, the quake epicenter was a relative deep 35 kilometers, 110
miles northeast of the North Island city of Gisborne. Even though the magnitude of the
quake was strong, it has not left any damages or injuries so far reported. And the Pacific
Tsunami Warning Center did not issue a tsunami warning.

Jimmy Fallon head used by the Colts mascot

While The Patriots kicker Stephen Gostkowsi was attempting to earn an extra point,
Blue, the Colts mascot was waving a huge Jimmy Fallon head to distract the Patriots.

The attempt to distract its opponent did not work because the kick went through.
Blue is either a big Fallon fan or he wanted Fallons attention. He definitely got Fallons
attention.

In hockey, the Florida Panthers scored the first goal of the season against the Anaheim
Ducks.

What was unusual about the goal was that forward Vincent Trocheck hit the water bottle
of Ducks goaltender Frederik Andersen.

After a pass from Tomas Kopecky, Trocheck was in a precise angle to make the shot that
not just hit the back of the net but Andersens water bottle.

The shot was so strong that the bottle cap was broken forcing the water out in the air.

Bill Cosby refuses to respond to any questions asked by correspondents about the alleged
sexual assault he is being accused of. Several women are accusing Cosby of intimidation,
abuse and rape; these accusations are dated back to the mid-2000s.
Cosby was supposed to appear on November nineteen on the Late Show with David
Letterman but he has cancelled that interview.
He would like to thank all his fans for the outpouring of support and assure them that, at
age 77, he is doing his best work. There will be no further statement from Mr. Cosby or
any of his representative. Cosbys attorney said.
