CMCP International Paper


In Morocco, International Paper is a leader in the paper and packaging industry through its subsidiary
"CMCP-International Paper". For over 60 years, CMCP (Compagnie Marocaine des Cartons et des
Papiers) has been known as a reliable supplier for paper-based packaging products and as a leader in
its sector. CMCP-International Paper operates two modern box plants located in strategic geographic
zones in Morocco: Casablanca and Agadir, and a recycled containerboard mill in Kenitra. The company
employs about 1,300 people.

Market and Exports


CMCP-International Papers recycled containerboard
production capacity is 110,000 tons / year and the box
plants produce approximately 140,000 tons of corrugated
packaging per year. Domestic consumption accounts for
90% of the sales and the remaining 10% is exported to
countries such as Mauritania, Cameroon, Ivory Coast,
Ghana and Mali..

More than 1,300 employees


In recent years, CMCP- International Paper has become
an active member of the Sanady Foundation, a project
supporting education for disadvantaged children working
to prevent school dropout. More than one hundred children from our employees are benefiting from this
initiative.

Social Responsibility
In April 2011, CMCP- International Paper was awarded the CGEM (*) Label for
social responsibility. It is the first packaging company within the Moroccan
packaging sector to be given this label.
This award recognizes companies meeting the highest ethical standards in areas
such as corporate governance, environmental protection, prevention of corruption,
respect of human rights and commitment to the community.

Environment
Over 90% of the containerboard produced in Kenitra is made from recycled fiber. CMCP- International
Paper is the largest consumer of recycled paper in Morocco, using 70% of the total collection.

Paper Mill: Kenitra


The mill was established in 1949 and
is the largest paper mill in Morocco
with a capacity of 110,000 metric
tons. The mill has two paper
machines: PM3 producing 75,000
tons of recycled containerboard (R.C.C.M.) and PM1 producing 35,000 tons of multi-ply solid board.
The mill set up lately an ultra modern water treatment station, the first one of such level to be launched
in Morocco.

Box Plant: Casablanca


The plant was built in 1971. It is equipped with a modern corrugator and several converting machines.
The plant produces about 180 million sqm of corrugated products. The Casablanca plant serves
industrial customers based in the center and north of Morocco. The plant uses the latest technology to
produce standard and die cut boxes, and prints up to four colors.

Box Plant: Agadir


The Agadir plant was established in 1974 and specializes in the production of trays for fruit and
vegetables and primarily serves southern Morocco exporters. The plant has a corrugator and several
converting machines including latest die cut technology which guarantee sufficient production capacity
to satisfy the demand. The production capacity of the plant reaches 120 million square miles.
