Tournament Terms & Conditions (T&C)

A. DURATION
1. RHB Bank Berhad (RHB) is organizing the RHB Premium Cards Golf Series 2014 (the
Tournament) which will run from 15 May 2014 to 30 October 2014, both dates inclusive (the
Tournament Period).
a. Spend Campaign: 15 May 2014 to 15 August 2014
b. Golf Tournament: 18 September 2014 to 30 October 2014

B. MANAGEMENT
1. RHB and its appointed event management company (Key Vector Sdn Bhd) known as the
Tournament Committee shall be responsible for the running of the Tournament. The event will
comprise of three (3) Qualifying Leagues and a Grand Finale.
2. The Tournament Committee reserves the right to limit the number of entries and amend the
local rules for the Tournament if it deems necessary.
3. The decision of the Tournament Committee in all matters relating to the Tournament shall be
final.
C. ELIGIBILITY
1. The Tournament shall be opened to all the cardmembers who must fulfill the criteria specified
below are eligible to participate in the Tournament (the Eligible Cardmember):
a. The Existing and New Premium Credit Cardmembers Principal and Supplementary
Cardmembers of RHB Visa Infinite, RHB Signature, RHB Platinum, RHB Platinum Business and
RHB Platinum Islamic Credit Card-i.
b. The Eligible Cardmember is required to fulfill the minimum spend criteria of RM15,000
between the period of 15 May 2014 to 15 August 2014 (both dates inclusive) to be qualify
and participate in the Tournament.
2. The Eligible Cardmember with multiple RHB Credit Cards respectively, total Retail Spend will be
accumulated at the customer level.
a. The following shall be considered as Qualified Retail Transactions for the purpose of the
Tournament :

b. The following shall NOT be considered as Qualified Retail Transactions for the purpose of
this Tournament:

Cash Advance & Quasi Cash

Instalments paid for the 0% Smart Instalment Plan

Balance transfer transactions

Easy cash & the instalments paid transactions

Instalments paid for Dial-An-Instalment programme

Refunds

Disputed, unauthorized or fraudulent retail transactions

Payment of annual fee

Interest payments

Late payment fees, charges for cash withdrawals and any other form of
service/miscellaneous fees

D. REGISTRATION OF ENTRIES & FEE

1. The Eligible Cardmember is required to complete the Entry Form on their preferred Qualifying
Leagues to confirm their participation and must reach RHB no later than 31 August 2014.
2. Entry Form MUST be duly completed and upon submission of Entry Form, all the participants are
deemed to have read, understood and agreed to abide by the rules and conditions of this
Tournament. RHB and the Tournament Committee shall not be liable for any repercussions
(discrepancy, miscalculations of results, prizes or other matters) arising from the failure to
submit the proper Entry Form (fully completed).
3. The entries must be accompanied with the completed Entry Form and a copy of current and
valid handicap card for verification purposes. All golfers are requested to submit their handicap
cards as instructed by the Malaysian Golf Association (MGA).
4. The Eligible Cardmember who have fulfilled the minimum spend criteria of RM15,000 between
the period of 15 May 2014 to 15 August 2014 (both dates inclusive) shall receive an Short
Messages System (SMS) confirmation on their eligibility to participate in the Tournament.
5. Allocation of registered entries will be based on first come first serve basis.
6. All tournament players are to pay an entry fee of RM200. Entry fee of RM200 includes green fee,
caddy, buggy, golf insurance, meals (lunch and dinner) and goodie bag.

E. ENTRY WITHDRAWAL, TRANSFER AND CHANGE OF QUALIFYING LEGS
1. The entry fee will not be refunded if any tournament player withdraws from the Tournament.
2. Any request for transfer of entry to another name must be made at least 14 working days prior
to the Tournament date subject to availability and transferred name must an Eligible
Cardmember.
3. Any request for change of entry into the Qualifying League must be made at least 14 working
days prior to the Tournament date subject to availability.

F. REGISTRATION
1. All tournament players are required to register in person, and present their valid handicap cards
and signed indemnity letter at least 30 minutes prior to the tee-off time. Failure to do so may
result in the player being withdrawn from the Tournament with no refund of any fees paid.

G. RULES OF PLAY
1. All play shall be in accordance with Rules of Golf as approved by the R&A Rules Ltd and the Local
Rules of the respective Tournament club, as approved by the Tournament Committee.
2. The Mode of Play shall be on Stableford (System 36). For the Qualifying Leagues, the players
shall be grouped into Medal A (0 - 18) and Medal B (19 36) after achieving the Handicap for
the day. The number of prizes for each Category shall be determined by the Organizing
Committee, depending on the number finally attained for each Category.

3. In the event of a tie for ANY position, the player with the lower handicap shall win and if the tie
is still undecided then a countback system will be used to decide the winner in the following
order and manner: Last 9, 6, 3, 1 and by lot : By scorecard.
4. The back nine shall always refer to holes 10-18 of the tournament course at all participating
clubs.

H. DRAWS AND STARTING TIMES

1. Play shall be in groups of maximum four (4) players.
2. The Tournament Committee shall decide the draw of the players.

3. The Tournament shall tee off on shot-gun start. All players must be at their buggies 15 minutes
prior to the tee-off time, in order to move their respective tee boxes, under the Clubs
arrangement.
4. All Qualifying Leagues and the Grand Finale are afternoon tee-offs at 1.00pm.
5. The Tournament Committee reserves the rights to change the draws and vary the starting times
with prior notice.

I. INCLEMENT WEATHER AND SUSPENSION OF PLAY

1. The Tournament Committee will make every effort to complete an event in its entirety.
However, the Tournament Committee reserves the right to suspend or abandon play as
necessary if weather-related circumstances require such action. In the unlikely event the course
is unplayable and play is abandoned or other conditions warrant such action, the Tournament
Committee will then decide the Tournament and all players will be informed accordingly.
2. The Tournament Committee reserves the right to cancel any round(s) in the event of
circumstances which make playing 18 holes impracticable.
3. If the golf game is not completed due to weather-related circumstances, the Tournament
Committee will award prizes based on lucky draw.
4. The 20 lucky draw winners of the Qualifying League will then be deemed as Qualifier into the
Grand Finale.

K. PRIZES AND NOVELTY

1. Qualifying Leagues and Grand Finale Prizes.
a. Prizes will be awarded to the top 10 winners of Category A & B respectively for each of the
respective Qualifying Leagues.
b. The top 20 winners from the Qualifying Leagues shall qualify to the Grand Finale.
c. Prizes are at the sole and absolute discretion of RHB Bank.

2. Novelty Prizes.
a. 3 Novelty prizes will be awarded for each Qualifying League and Grand Finale.

b. Each player shall be eligible to win only 1 novelty prize. In the event a player wins more than
1 novelty prize, the first novelty hole that he or she plays shall be deemed the winning
novelty hole.
3. Hole-In-One Prizes.
a. The first player who scores a Hole-In-One in accordance to the tournament rules and
regulations during the one (01) day tournament rounds of the event will win the Hole-In-One
prize.
b. 1 Hole-In-One Prize will be awarded for each Qualifying League and Grand Finale.

L. SCORECARD
1. All players must submit their respective scorecard duly signed and counter signed by his or her
marker no later than 10 minutes after the completion of play.

M. COMPETITION CLOSED
1. The Tournament shall be deemed to have closed when prizes have been awarded to the
winners.

N. GRAND FINALE QUALIFICATION PROCESS

1. Top 20 winners comprising of 10 winners from Category A & B respectively for each of the
qualifying leagues will qualify for the Grand Finale
2. If a qualifying player is unable to take part in the Grand Finale, the Eligible Cardmember must
inform RHB of this within 7 days after the respective Qualifying Leagues.
3. The next best-scoring player in the Qualifying League then takes his or her place.

O. DISPUTES AND APPEALS

1. Any dispute that arises during the Tournament must be put forward to the Tournament
Committee as soon as practicable upon completion of the Tournament, and not later than 15
minutes after completion of the play.

2. The penalty of disqualification may, in exceptional cases, be waived, modified or imposed by the
Tournament Committee.

P. ETIQUETTE
1. All players should practice good etiquette as detailed in Section 1 of the Rules of Golf as
approved by the R & A Rules Limited and the clubs Tournament Committee. The overriding
principle is that consideration should be shown to others on the course at all times.

Q. INDEMNITY/LIABILITIES
1. RHB, Malaysian Golf Association and the Tournament Committee and their staff shall not be
responsible for any loss, damage or harm or any form of injuries that the participants of the
Tournament may suffer as a result of their participation in this Tournament.
2. All transportation, accommodation, administration costs and personal costs including but not
limited to any other costs, fees and/or expenses that are incurred to participate in this
Tournament and/or redemption and/or usage of the Prizes shall be the sole responsibility of
the winners.

R. VIOLATION OF COMPETITION TERMS

1. Any player found to be violating the terms of the competition or have not provided true or
correct information in the registration form would be disqualified from taking part in this
Tournament.
2. RHB reserves the right to revoke any title and/or reclaim any prize awarded to any winner of the
Tournament in the event such winner is found to have not complied with the Tournaments
rules and regulations.

S. GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. The Eligible Cardmembers RHB Credit Card account must be valid and in good standing as so
determined by RHB at its sole and absolute discretion to be eligible for participation during and
after the Tournament. If, at any time during the Tournament Period, the Eligible Cardmember
cancels the Credit Card for any reason whatsoever, his/her participation in the Tournament shall
become null and void with immediate effect.
2. In the event that any Prizes are awarded to and received by person(s) who :a. Are not an Eligible Cardmember in the Tournament; or

b. Are an Eligible Cardmember but has committed fraudulent or wrongful acts in relation to their
Credit Card and/or any transactions made thereof;
RHB reserves the absolute right to disqualify such person(s) from participating in the Tournament
and/or from redeeming their Prizes.
3. Participation in the Tournament shall be deemed as permission to RHB and their agencies, to do
the following:a. Disclose their particulars to RHB's agents and suppliers for purposes of delivering the Prizes;
and
b. At their sole and absolute discretion, to use, publish and display the names and other
particulars of the participant including but not limited to their photographs and/or masked I/C
numbers and/or audio and/or visual recording for announcement purposes without any
compensation paid.
4. RHB shall not be held liable for any default in respect of the Tournament due to any act of God,
war, riot, strike, lockout, industrial action, fire, flood, drought, storm, technical or system
failures or any event beyond the reasonable control of RHB.
5. RHB reserves the right to change, cancel, terminate or suspend the Tournament from time to
time with 21 days prior notice given either by mailing the aforesaid notices to the participant or
by sending notice of the same via Short Messages System (SMS) or electronic mail to the
participant or displayed at RHB branches or websites or any other means of communication that
may be deemed appropriate and fit by RHB. Any cancellation, termination or suspension of the
Contest by RHB shall not entitle the participants to any claim or compensation against RHB for
any loss or damage incurred by the participant as a direct and/or indirect result of the
cancellation, termination or suspension.
6. RHB reserves the right at its sole and absolute discretion to vary, delete or add to any of these
T&C from time to time with 21 days prior notice given either by mailing the aforesaid notices to
the participant or by sending notice of the same via SMS or electronic mail to the participant or
displayed at RHB branches or websites or any other means of communication that may be
deemed appropriate and fit by RHB.
7. RHB reserves the right to disqualify all entries from any participant in the Tournament and
prohibits that person from further participating in the Tournament in the event that there is a
suspicion that the participant has tampered with or benefited from the tampering regulations of
the Tournament or the T&C stated herein.

8. The Eligible Cardmember shall assume full liability in case of any Tournament liability, mishap,
injury, damage, claim or accidents resulting from their participation in the, redemption and/or
use of the Prizes.
9. RHBs decisions on all matters relating to the Tournament, including the determination of the
Eligible Cardmember and winners, shall be final and conclusive and no further correspondence
shall be entertained.
10. By participating in the Tournament, the Eligible Cardmember agrees to be bound by these T&C
stated therein.
