Our Solution

To increase the power of your cold or hot blast cupola furnace, we provide you the oxygen for the enrichment of the
combustion air or for the direct injection into the center of the combustion according to the ALJETCSI-process.
In this process, the oxygen is directly delivered into the center of the combustion intermittently in supersonic speed by
special nozzles with the help of jet lances.

The Solution in Detail


The growing requirements for iron quality, performance and price demand a continual improvement of the efficiency of the
melting process. Besides the enrichment of the combustion air with oxygen, the oxygen direct injection process is now
applied in most of melting operations in the cupola furnace. Thanks to our specifically developed O2-nozzles, the advantages
of the employment of oxygen are maximized.
The high-impulse current of the supersonic jet in the ALJETCSI-process enables the oxygen to advance right to the
center of the cupola furnace. Thus the entire furnace cross section is utilized; the loss through the furnace wall is reduced
and the formation of a "dead-man zone" is avoided.
Contrary to the ordinary supersonic injection, in which the supersonic speed and the high effectiveness get lost when the
oxygen amount drops below the designed amount of the installed oxygen jet lances (part-load operation), in our ALJETCSIprocess, the supersonic speed is also in part-load operation fully maintained. This is achieved in the way that the
oxygen is intermittently delivered by the individual oxygen jet lances.
Numerous foundries have already adopted this very effective and flexible method of oxygen addition.
