7 Watt Audio Amplifier with TDA2003

Schematic diagram of a simple 7 watt audio amplifier using TDA2003 Amplifier IC. This is a good IC with
many built in features like low harmonic distortion, short circuit protection, thermal overload protection etc.
This IC is a upgrade version of TDA 2002 amplifier IC. The circuit is small and using only few components
and it is able to deliver 7w output on 12V DC. Assamble the circuit on PCB or veroboard and use heatsink
with IC. Input voltage can be between 8 to 18 volt / 0.5A DC.
12 Watt Amplifier

Here is a high quality 12 watt amplifier circuit with stereo. The heart of the circuit is a TDA 2616 IC which
is a stereo amplifier IC comes in 9 leads and SOT131 package, and designed for mains fed amp circuits
like tape, radio, television etc. It requires only few external components which makes the circuit ideal to

use as a portable amplifier. The IC has good gain balance between both channels, and also has a special
builtin circuit which prevents click sounds during power on and off.
2 Watt Amp Using TBA820 Amplifier IC

This is a useful and simple 2 watt audio amp circuit using TBA820 amplifier IC. This is a great circuit to
use as lab audio amplifier purpose. The circuit has a good output power with minimum components and
low voltage. The input voltage can be 3V to 16V. This IC has a lot of good features like minimum
working supply voltage, low current consupmtion, good ripple rejection etc. On 16 volt supply use 16
Ohms speaker, on 12 volt use 8 Ohms speaker and use 4 Ohms speaker on 9 volts.
Two Transistor Amp

A very simple two transistor amp circuit which can be use in any place where a little amplification of audio
is required. This simple transistor amp is built around two BC108 transistors and few components. You
can use any other substitute NPN transistors in the place of BC108. The ouput of this circuit can be heard
in a low impedance headphones. Further transistor amplification stages are required to drive a speaker.
The input power is 5 volt DC.
6 Watt Amplifier with TA7222AP

A simple circuit diagram of a 6 watt amplifier with TA7222AP IC. It is a good quality audio amplifier IC and
it has many good features like low distortion, short circuit protection, thermal shutdown, high ripple
rejection etc. The required input voltage for this circuit is between 8V to 12V DC. On 12 volt the IC is able
to deliver 5.8 Watt in a 4 Ohms speaker. The circuit is easy to build and can be fit in a small place. Use
heatsink with the IC. For best performance It is advised to use seperated ground for input and output.
Simple 2 Watt Amplifier Using TDA7052 IC

A very simple mini easy to build 2 watt audio amplifier circuit ideal to use with small projects like pocket
radios and other small audio gadgets. The heart of the circuit is TDA7052 amplifier IC, it is a great IC
uses only three external components one potentiometer and two capacitors but if you are operating it with
battery then the two external capacitors are not required. The circuit can be fit in a very small place and
can be operate on low voltage like 3 volt. The circuit will also work on 3v mercury button cell this is a very
good quality of this IC to use it with battery operated gadgets. This IC will provide ouput of around 1 to 2
watt with 8 ohms speaker and 6 volt supply.
TDA2822 Amplifier

TDA2822 is a audio amplifier IC available in 16 pin power DIP package. The operating voltage of the IC is
from 3V to 15V DC. The IC can be operated in both BTL and stereo mode. TDA2822 IC can be used in
for many purposes like as an amplifier in small radios, headphone amplifiers, preamplifiers etc. The IC is
able to deliver more audio output on the BTL mode on same voltage.
10W Stereo Audio Amplifier Using TDA2009A
This is a schematic of a 10W stereo audio amplifier using TDA2009A amplifier IC. TDA2009A is a good
IC provides quality sound. It has built in features like output current protection and thermal protection etc.
The circuit can be operate between 8 to 24V DC with 1 to 2 amphere. If you want to operate this 10 watt
amplifier circuit with mains supply then use a filtered and stable power supply to reduce mains hum. 10
watt out put power can be obtained by providing 20V 1.5A to the circuit. Use good and thick heatsink with
the IC.

VU Meter
The figure below shows a schematic diagram of a audio level or VU meter circuit. A VU (Volume Unit)
meter is a very useful device to show the audio level in audio devices from which a user can maintain a
certain audio level and get rid of overloading the output.
Working of the circuit is simple; the input audio signal is first amplified by the 2N3904 NPN transistor and
then rectified by the 1N4148 diodes and fed to the 1mA meter. The 1M potentiometer is used to adjust
the sensitivity of the circuit. The circuit is using a 1mA DC meter. You can also experiment with other
higher or lower value milliampere meters.
After completing the circuit you have to calibrate it by adjusting the 1M potentiometer. The operating
voltage of the circuit is 9 to 12 volt DC. You can also try low voltage like 3, 5 or 6 volt.
