SURVEY

One method of analysis used to determine the need to use the interactive whiteboard is using
the survey method. This survey is conducted by student and lecture as respondent with a total
of 20 respondents.

First question is do you use the projector in your learning sessions in the lecture room? Based
on the above result, 90 percent choose yes and another 10 percent choose no. So, it can
conclude that the most of respondent use the projector in their learning sessions in the lecture
room. This is because, the use of whiteboard is rarely used in learning sessions because that
will take time to write something and will not attract student to pay attention. Therefore, use
of the projector is the preferred choice of lecturers.

Second question is how many times you use the projector in a learning session in a week?
Based on the above result, 15 percent use once a week, 30 percent use 2 to 3 times a week
and another 50 percent use 4 to 5 times a week. So, it can conclude that many of respondent
use the projector in their learning sessions in a week. The use of projector is very interesting
in the learning sessions because it using a variety of animation to avoid students not pay their
attention. So, the usage of projector is preferring choice of respondent.

Third question is do you have any problem in using a projector in the lecture room? Based on
the above result, 75 percent choose yes and another 25 percent choose no. So, it can conclude
that many of respondent having a problem in using a projector in the lecture room.

Fourth question is what are the problems you face when using the projector in the lecture
room? Based on the above result, 20 percent have blurry problem, 15 percent brightness
problem, difficulties to adjust the projector got 45 percent and 10 percent for others. So, it
can conclude that difficulties to adjust the projector are the common problem that our
respondent face when using the projector. Nowadays, many of projector is attached at the
celling and come with controller to control the setting automatically, but many of these
remote already missing. So, to adjust it manually, student or lecture must take the chair and
stood on it in adjust the setting manually.

Last question of the survey is if you are given the opportunity to use the interactive
whiteboard in the lecture room, do you agree? Based on the above result, 90 percent want to
use these interactive whiteboard and another 10 percent dont want use it. So, it can conclude
that most of our respondent want to use it and otherwise do not want to use it due to an
expensive product.
