I, JOSEPH ZERNIK, hereby declare as follows:

This declaration was written as a memorandum of my January 8, 2010 visit to the Superior Court of
California, County of Los Angeles, Court Archives on Hill Street, Los Angeles, California. I have
personal knowledge of the facts set forth herein, which I know to be true and correct, except as to those
matters therein stated as based upon information and belief, and as to those matters, I believe them to be
true and correct as well. If called as a witness, I could and would competently testify with respect
thereto.
1. On January 8, 2009 in the afternoon I appeared in underground Archives of the Superior Court of
California, County of Los Angeles.
2. I the hall of records, 2nd underground floor, I identified the book marked: “Register of Actions
Divorce, Superior Court 719 D470500 - D470999, Los Angeles County.”
3. I requested to obtain certified copies of three of the Registers of Actions in the book, pages
D470502, D470503, and D470504, and also copies of the cover of the book. The Deputy-Clerk
of duty charged me $77.00 and provided the records attached to this declaration, in Exhibits # 1,
2, 3.
4. In addition, in the judgments microfilm record room, 1st underground floor, I identified a couple
of judgments in the book of Judgments, SW53, pages 064 and 163. The Deputy Clerk who
assisted me provided the copies of these judgments by printing them out of the microfilm reel,
and the records I received are attached in Exhibit #4 to this Declaration.
5. In response to request to certify such judgment records, the Deputy Clerk stated that he was
permitted to certify the records from microfilm, as long as review of the original in the Judgment
Book showed hand written signature of the judge, or rubber stamp of a hand signature, but not a
rubber stamp of the printed name of the judge. The Judgment also had to bear a stamp: Entered,
by the Clerk, with the hand signature of the Deputy, and book and page number of the Book of
Judgments.
6. Attached to this declaration is:
Exhibit 1: Work Invoices #1014250, 1014251, 1014253, all stamped “Order Completed, Jan 08,
2010, County Records Center”, total of three pages, which are the true and correct records,
which I received from Deputy Clerk in the Archives on January 8, 2010.
Exhibit 2: Receipt by LASC Archives #32, ARC460372069, for $77.00, which is the true and
correct record, which I received from Deputy Clerk of duty in the Archives on January 8, 2010.
Exhibit 3: Certified copies of Registers of Actions D470502, D470503, D470504, as well as
copies of front and back cover of the book of the court, titled “Registers of Actions”, from which
these registers were copied, a total of 5 pages, which are the true and correct records, which I
received from Deputy Clerk of duty in the Archives on January 8, 2010.
Exhibit 4: True and correct copies of two (2) judgments, which I received from Deputy Clerk of
duty in the archives on January 8, 2010. The Deputy Clerk generated these judgments from
microfilm reels. These two judgments corresponded to judgments, which I identified in the

Judgment Book of the court, SW63, pages 064 and 163, respectively. Both judgments were hand
signed in the Book of Judgments by either a Judge, or a Judge Pro Tem.
I declare under penalty of perjury under the laws of the State of California and the United States that the
