5. Communis a noun describing quality implying fellowship, community of relations and

III. Essay (30 sentences) On your own word define "Community"

The term community came from the Latin word Communis means fellowship, community of
relations and feelings. It is also defined as a body of people living in the same place under the
same laws (geographical); a body of people having common interest (psychological) by
Websters dictionaries. A community is a group of people with sharing interest under same set of
rules that eventually the will follow. Of course communities has its elements too, like history,
technology, goals, leadership, and such. These elements are the things that kept a community
together. Elements that has bound each and every human living in a community. A community
is a landscape of people living in harmony, how they get through to their everyday life having
that one single main goal. There are 5 types of communities namely: geographical, rural/urban,
sectoral, functional, tribal/indigenous, and special of communities. Geographical communities
these communities has territories and boundaries. Rural/Urban communities it is the traditional of
classifying communities. Sectoral communities, great example for these community is women,
youth, farmers, and fisher folks. Functional communities are group of people who share some
common interests or functions. Tribal/Indigenous are aetas and mangyans. Lastly the special
types of communities are the disabled, parishes and families.
Based on my own understanding community is a group of people living in a certain area with
harmony and with one common goal under one government.
