General principles
1.Actions taken by the administrator are to be upheld
2.Moderators should be unbiased in any situation, never taking one
side of a battle until all facts and sides are heard(preferably not in a
main chat).
3.Moderators should always uphold their chat rules, even against a
friend.
4.Moderators should obey their chat rules.
5.Moderators should not ban for fun, or delete things for fun
excessively.
6.Moderators should not discuss others bans or issues in chat.
7.Moderators should not unban other bans without prior permission
from the mod or admin
Moderator Terms
Ban restricting the use of a member or anon in chat for breaking chat rules
for a short amount of time(1 day+)
Permaban A ban that last for 6 months for breaking chat rules multiple
times or serious offenses.
Time-Out ban banning for 10 minutes to control arguing in chat or small
offenses.
Ban Evasion - Use of VPN or other methods of changing IP to talk in a chat
that a user has been banned in
White Knighting Members/Anons sticking up for someone that has been
banned.
Person 1 banned for flaming
Person 2 gets mad, flames, also gets banned.
Person 3 argues that person 2 should not be banned because they only flamed because of
person 1 (White knighting)
Spam- repeating the same words or letters over and over again
Cap Spam- constantly typing in caps for more than 3 messages
Deleting removing 1 or more messages for rule breakage or to remove a
topic that is not allowed in rules
Flood posting a large message that disrupts chat or posting more than 4
messages consecutively in less than 1 minute
Arguing one persons opinion is always right according to that person.
Ban Length
Ban lengths should be stuck to unless you, as the moderator that
banned the user, thinks otherwise. Permabanning for petty offenses is wrong
and as a moderator should not arise. If it ever does occur, notify the user
that their ban length has changed.
Modding Techniques
Delete breakage of rules.
When you warn/ban, give the reason for which you are
warning/banning for.
Control the chat at mod discretion. If you need help, contact another
mod or admin.
Send users to the next chain of command person if they have issues.
It may be appropriate to post rules to users that have not read them.
Time-out ban users when appropriate to control a chat.
Do not keep giving out warning to the same person
