Let us pray and feel the presence of the Lord (SIGN OF THE CROSS)

God, our Father send Your Holy Spirit to enlighten, strengthen and inspire us to do this days responsibilities. With St.
Dominics Passion for truth and Compassion for humanity, most especially for our students, may we impart your knowledge that
comes from You. With Mother Mary to help us and St. Michael to walk beside us, may we give greater glory and honor to Your
Name. We ask these through Your Son, Jesus, our Divine Teacher. Amen.
Our Father in Heaven, holy be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day
our daily bread. Forgive us our trespass as we forgive those who trespass against us. Do not bring us to the test but deliver from
evil. Amen
Hail Mary full of grace; the Lord is with you, blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death Amen.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now and will be forever. Amen

A reading from the holy gospel according to Luke.
Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news of him spread throughout the whole region. He taught in their
synagogues and was praised by all.
He came to Nazareth, where he had grown up, and went according to hi custom into the synagogue on the Sabbath day. He stood
up to read and was handed a scroll of the prophet Isaiah. He unrolled the scroll and found the passage where it was written: The
Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to bring glad tidings to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to
captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to let the oppressed go free, a to proclaim a year acceptable to the Lord. Rolling up the
scroll, he handed it back to the attendant and sat down, and the eyes of all in the synagogue looked intently at Him. He said to
them, Today this scripture passage is fulfilled in your hearing. And all spoke highly of him and were amazed at the gracious words
that came from his mouth.

Reflection
THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD IS UPON ME. Jesus proclaims as his own the mission of the prophet Isaiah and of the people of Israel.
He declares that he is anointed by the Spirit to bring good news to the poor, liberty to captives, recovery of sight to the blind, and
freedom to the oppressed.
As Christians, we have been anointed by the Spirit to carry on Jesus mission. The Spirit gives us confidence to declare to others
the marvels God works in us. How do we do this? Like Jesus, we are to serve others: bringing glad tidings to the poor, proclaiming
liberty to captives, giving sight to the blind, setting the oppressed free, and proclaiming a year acceptable to the Lord. These may
not be the only things to be done these days, but we are sure that we, like Jesus, must be good news to others.in our deeds, Gods
wonderful and loving deeds must be felt.
My Own Reflection
At some point of our time, we are being called by God to fulfil His plans, and that is for you to be a blessing to the people around
you. May you all continue to follow Gods direction and instruction for your life, because the moment you receive and claim it, it will
not only have affect you but also those people that you encounter.
