I. STATEMENT OF SCHOOL VISSION-MISSION


Vision
Mataasnakahoy Central School as a highly equipped, developed and effective school by the year 2015.
Mission
To provide the youth basic quality education that shall prepare the child for his total human
development and for quality life.

II. SCHOOL AND COMMUNITY PROFILE


A. Community Profile
The municipality of Mataasnakahoy, Province of Batangas is a fifth (5th) class munipality with
sixteen (16) barangays. Barangay I, II, II-A, III and IV in the poblacion. Other barangays are: Bayorbor,
Bubuyan, Calingatan, Kinalaglagan, Loob, Lumanglipa, Manggahan, Nangkaan, Santol, San Sebastian
and Upa.
It is two (2) kilometers away from the National Highway with a distance of seven (7) kilometers
from the Lipa City Proper.
Mataasnakahoy has an area of about 2,354 hectares which is divided into different land uses. The
town is plateaus, thus causing it to have a mild climate and abundance of rainfall. It is a small town, yet it
produces coffee, lanzones, coconut, bananas and other fruits. It is a peaceful, progressive and agricultural
community and like other towns it is rich in history and cultural life.
The town as to its demography is improving with the foreigners and other people inhabiting to the
place attracted by the overlooking Taal Lake.

B. History of the School


Before the arrival of the Spaniards, people of Mataasnakahoy had their education. Formal
education started in year 1863 through the missionaries who came here emphasizing religion.
Then the Americans came. At this time public school was opened in 1901. In 1907 Gabaldon
building was built through the efforts of the parents. Education existed peacefully until the Second World
War broke out from 1939 to 1944, so education then was hindered. Gabaldon building was used by the
Japanese as their quarter.
Education came to existence after the liberation in 1945 in some houses of civilians. With the
cottages built and used the Americans as their quarters were used as school houses by the people. From
then many people of Mataasnakahoy became educated. Enrolment and number of teachers increase up
to the present.
Mataasnakahoy Central School now is Paaralang Sentral ng Mataasnakahoy has been
administered by different school heads/ principals. With their efforts and supports, the whole school has
been in great progress.

At
present, the school
continuously moulds the young minds of the children and training them to be good citizens of the country.
The school never stops serving the people of Mataasnakahoy under the leadership of our very own
Principal II, Dr. Leopoldo A. Landicho.

With his efforts to make our school prospers in all angles, he continuously look and work hard for
the benefits of our school children and the school itself.
Paaralang Sentral ng Mataasnakahoy is always at post to serve the pupils of Mataasnakahoy.

*Community Partnership
Parent Teacher meeting were being conducted to impart. The rules and regulations of the school
such as coming to school on time, attendance of teachers in meetings, keeping the school clean and orderly
etc.
Needs of the school were mentioned like the repainting of roofs, repair of the broken parts of the
rooms, cleaning of backyards, school fencing and many others.
Parents were consulted in finding solutions to mention needs. An agreement parents teachers and officials
and PTA officers shall mobilize themselves for the projects.

V. RESOURCE GENERATION AND FUND MANAGEMENT


Resources are one of the problems of the school to attain its improvement. This is to successfully
implement different school programs and projects. The school conducted meetings with the community and
PTA officials about the schools plans, programs, and projects. They were informed and consulted of the

different activities to be done and the sources of fund to be used for its implementation. They voluntarily
offered their support and assistance to the school by means of fund raising in their own way like solicitation
asking donations and many others. They will work together and find ways for the school improvement. They
are the resources and stakeholders who will solve the financial problem of the school. With their support,
participation and cooperation of the school will find its easy way of improvement.
