Minutes of Special Board Meeting held on Monday, November 3, 2014
SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION
President Summerside opened the meeting with the following announcements: This is a meeting of the
Board of Education of the Unified School District of De Pere being held in public. Prior to this meeting,
notice was given to the public by posting at the appropriate places, and in addition, copies of the notice
of this meeting were forwarded to the following news media who have filed requests for all public
notices: Green Bay Press Gazette, radio stations WDUZ and WTAQ. Finally a copy of the notice was
forwarded to the De Pere Journal, the official newspaper of the district.
The Board of Education will enter into executive session pursuant to Wisconsin Statute 19.85 (1)(c) to
consider the employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of administrators.
The Board of Education may reconvene in open session for possible transaction of business, if
necessary.
The special meeting of the Unified School District of De Pere Board of Education was held on Monday,
November 3, 2014. President Summerside called the meeting to order at 8:12 PM. Roll Call: Present
Matzke, Meneau, Mocarski, Seeman, Summerside, Van Straten and Youngquist. After roll call of
Board members a quorum was declared and the Board proceeded with the regular order of business.
Agenda: A motion was made by Seeman and seconded by Mocarski to accept the agenda as presented.
Motion carried on a voice vote; all ayes.
A motion was made by Seeman and seconded by Matzke to enter into executive session pursuant to
Wisconsin Statute 19.85 (1)(c) to consider the employment, promotion, compensation or performance
evaluation data of administrators. Motion carried on a voice vote; all ayes.
A motion was made and seconded to adjourn executive session and return to open session. Motion
carried on a voice vote; all ayes. A motion was made by Van Straten and seconded by Seeman to
authorize a one-time salary bonus to net $1,000 to Michelle Thomas and Susan Buchholz in appreciation
and recognition of their performance during the 2013-2014 school year. Motion carried on a voice vote;
all ayes. A motion was made by Matzke and seconded by Seeman to increase the hourly wage for Bruce
Moeller and Angelynn La Bine to $21.55 per hour. Motion carried on a voice vote; all ayes.
A motion was made by Youngquist and seconded by Mocarski to adjourn the special meeting of the
Board of Education. Motion carried on a voice vote; all ayes.
