A. TheTracklist:TheTrackListkeepsalistoftracksbeingusedwhethertheyare
audio,softwareinstrumentsorMIDIinput.Theycanberenamedandrecoloured
foreasieridentificationandlabelling,identifywhichtrackisselectedandwhat
statestheyareinorwhatpropertiesthatarecurrentlybeingtweakedviathe
TrackListsuchasAutomation.


B. TheTrackChannel:Thetrackchannelisresponsibleforrepresentingasound
channelwhereacertaininputhasbeenlinkedtoacertainoutputcontaining(x)
ofsound.YoucanRecordeasilyusingthischannelstrip,aswellasmutethe
channelandsolothesoundthatiscomingfromthechannel.Itisalsousedinthe
creationandmanipulationofsoundeffectsandsoundmanipulation.

C. TheMixer:Herethemixerisabletoshowone,asimplifiedsetupofthe
Input/Output,volumelevels,panningandeffectsthatareputonaudiochannels.
YoucanaddeffectstochannelsfromhereintheMixerandaccessthemquickly
acrossmanychannelsalso.Youcanalsocreateaudiochannelsandchange
prettymucheverythingregardingthechannelstrip.EffectiveuseoftheMixeris
crucialinanysoundproductionwork.

D. TheSampler:IntheSampler,bouncedaudioorexternalaudiothatisrecorded,
canbeeditedinamultitudeofways,pitch,depth,lengthtonameafew.Effective
useoftheSamplerallowspeopletousethesamplerasawaytocreateeffect
sounds,samplesoundsforuseelsewhereintheformofasmallfile.Thiscanbe
alsousedtomakequickchangestorenderedsound.

E. ThePianoRoll:ThePianoRollallowsonetomanipulatethenotesthatare
recordedoffofMIDIinstrumentsorcreatetheirown.Eachnoteisthenabletobe
manipulatedandchangedtooneschoice.Forexamplepropertiessuchaspitch,
velocity,lengthandthenoteplacementareallabletobechangedflexibly.You
canusethesenotestocreateallkindsofchordsandprogressionsinyour
productionandwork,makingitacoretooltouseforaproducer.

F. ScoreFunction:TheScoreFunctionisforthosewhowanttobeabletoconvert
theirMidimasterpieceintoamorereadableformatandstandardisedformatthat
canbereadbymusiciansandplayedbackontraditionalphysicalinstruments.
Conveniently,LogicisabletotransfereverynuanceofyourMidiworkintoan
accuraterepresentationwithoutoneselfhavingtofigureoutandmanuallyinsert
thenuances.

G. TheHyperEditor:TheHypereditorallowstheeditingofallmidinotesatthe
allocatedtime.Itisusedasageneralblanketeditacrossalltracks.Youcanedit
volume,panning,pitchandvelocitytonameafew.Thisismainlyusedtomake
smallquickeditswhereneeded

TheMidiOptions:Theseoptionshereallowstheproducertoeditmidi
notesinthechannelselectedtoallbechangedinmanyways.For
example,thisallowstheproducertoquantisetheentireofthemidi
notesinthechannelselected(adjustsmidinotestoaset
distance/lengthperquantisealgorithms)Youcanalsoloopthe
channelselectedforconveniencepurposes.Tosaythatisablanket
editoriscorrectconsideringiteditsALLthenotesinthechannel.

Volumecontrol(alsoaminimixer):ThisareaoftheMidiOptionstab
allowstheusertoeditvolumelevelsofthechannelselectedaswell
asthemainoutputoftheproject.thisalsodoublesupasamixerfor
addingeffects,tweakingtheeffects,routingsoundandtheI/Os.Itis
aliteralminimixerandmakesuseofitssmallsizesothemainmixer
doesn'thavetobepulleduphalfwaythroughtheprojectforthose
whohavelimitedscreenspace.

TheBin:TheAudioBinkeepsalltheaudiothatwas
insertedintoyourprojectorusedintheprojectina
virtualbinsoyoucanfindandreusethedataifyou
needto.italsoletsyoukeeptrackofwhatdatayou
haveusedandanydatathatcanbeprovidedonthe
data,likeBPM,length,bitrateandformat.

TheLoops:Logiccomeswithaveritablelibraryof
premadesoundsthatarecategorizedbywhatstyles
andfeelingsthesoundsaregiven.Suchas
electronic,scifisoundswouldbeprobablyvery
spacelike.Usingthissystemisiseasytofindsound
thatsuitthesituationwheretheyareneeded,better,
fasterandeasier.

TheLibrary:TheLibrarycontainssoundssuchas
softwareinstrumentsandwhattypesofpresetsthey
contain.Thisisveryusefulforfindingthe
instrumentsyouwanttotouseinyourprojects.For
example,inthelibrarytabthereareinstrumentsthat
areacousticandelectronichowevertheacoustic
instrumentswouldbefoundundertheirownfolder
forwhatacousticinstrumenttheyarewhereasthe
electronicversionswouldbeinafolderofpresetsfor
asoundgeneratorsuchasEXS24.

GeneralFunctionBar:Thisallowsanddisplaysusefulinformationofthegeneralisedsituation
oftheprojectsuchas,playstatus(play,stop,fastforwardorreverseandrecording),the
projectsplayposition,Beatsperminute,TimeSignature,InputandOutputaswellasusage
statistics.
