The MD3-2060 is our most versatile, powerful standard

multi-directional unit. It offers timesaving multi-directional
magnetization for detecting defects in all directions with one
cycle, or conventional two-cycle operation. It provides alternating current (AC), full wave DC (FWDC), and half wave
DC (HWDC) magnetization for surface or near-surface

he collection system has a new look with a new design. It has a good looking
collection hood that fits above the ZA-28 developer tank and connects to a
self-contained 212 gallon capacity dust collector. The collector is wall mounted to
the dryer and has an easy removable canister to discard the powder. This system is
self contained and eliminates the hassles of powder bags.

ater, the most abundant chemical

in the universe, is considered safe
to use; however, it can become a safety hazard if not handled properly. For example, if
water is added to acid in a container, it may
cause a vigorous reaction (acid should
always be added to water and not the
reverse).
The same philosophy applies to penetrant
chemicals. Most penetrant chemicals are
safe and non-hazardous (with the exception of flammable solvents). They are
made of ingredients found in oils and
lubricants and in household/industrial
cleaners and paints. If not used properly,
however, these materials can become a safety hazard. It is necessary to know the proper handling, storage and disposal procedures before using these chemicals in order
to prevent accidents or injury. We recommend that personal protective equipment
such as safety glasses, nitrile rubber gloves
or an apron is worn when coming into
contact with the materials for an extended

period of time. It is also recommended that

adequate ventilation is provided in the area
where penetrant materials are being used.

The best source of detailed information for

safety recommendations is the Material
Safety Data Sheet (MSDS). By law,
employers are required to provide health
and safety information in the form of
MSDS to their workers. These sheets also
contain shipping, storage and disposal
information. MSDS for Magnaflux products are available to its users 24 hours a day

eith Turner, a long-time Magnaflux representative

in Oklahoma and Northern Texas, passed away last
September. He is remembered by many friends and colleagues as that nice and friendly guy with the Texas
drawl. Keith started in the NDT industry in 1977 as a
Magnaflux Field Engineer. In 1987 he founded
Inspection Products, Inc. with long- time friend Tom
Kent and actively pursued his NDT career in sales and
as a level III consultant. Keith is survived by his wife
Diane and children Michael and Rachel and leaves a
legacy in Inspection Products, Inc.
