8.6 MW & 3.5 MW Steam Turbines:

Sizing of the HP & LP Headers, Moisture separator, Finalization of the hook-up points,
Vendors offer evaluation, actively participation in vendor & kick off meetings, MOC &
HAZOP participation. Actively participation in pre-commissioning, commissioning activities
and start-up.

Lignocellulose Alcohol:

Review of vendors package, comments on offers, Utilities headers sizing, layout

discussions & HAZOP.
Equipment: CSTR & Plug flow reactors, Ammonia water separation column, vent Scrubbers,
Mixers, Decanters, membranes, Pumps, Heat exchangers, Tanks vessels etc.

Capacity expansion of Ethylene Oxide Derivatives Unit:

Inhouse package development, selection & sizing of equipment & instrument, HAZOP etc.

Effluent & Pollution Reductions Schemes:

Atmospheric pollution reduction by proposing Electrostatic Precipitator in Distillery waste

fired boiler.
Effluent reductions and savings of Oil by proposing Oil skimmers in multi locations of the
plant.

Energy Savings:

Heat recovery proposal by generating flash steam from CBD of the Boilers.
Proposed significant savings by installing vacuum pump in place of steam ejectors in
condensing turbine.
Proposal for the utilization of hot water to produce chilled water by installing vapour
absorption machine.
Proposal for the utilization of rejected chemicals from strong Cation & Anion for re gen. of
weak acid Cation and anion in DM Plant.
Trap Condensate recovery and utilized in nearby boilers.

Hazop:

Participated in HAZOP for New Propylene oxide derivative plant to identify potential
hazards and operability problems associated with the deviations.
Participated in HAZOP of Solvent extraction plant. Identified the possible ways in which
hazards and related operating problems may arise & investigated provisions in the design
for safe operability.
