SUMMARY OF LEARNING OUTCOMES


Upon completion of this module, the trainee should be able to:
LO1.

Relate traditional arts to 3D Animation productions and be able to work and set-up
their personal interface for work convenience.

LO2.

Model both 3D Environment and Character and start constructing Objects.

LO3.

Add life to objects they have created by adding shaders and texture to the object,
and basic lights for the scene.

LO4.

Create controllers to the character, add motion to the characters and animated
objects and edit animation for project presentation.

LO5.

Finalize scene set-up, render, composite scene for final video output.

The trainees must be provided with the following:
Computer with Maya Software
Well ventilated and well lighted classroom, conducive to learning equipped with LCD
projector, projection screen, and whiteboard;
Audio-visual aids
METHODOLOGIES
The module will be delivered through:
Lecture with interactive discussions;
Guided Lab exercises or demonstration in the classroom utilizing visual aids and other
teaching materials to gain the required attitude and knowledge; and
Machine problems and practical application to acquire the required skills and
competencies.

ASSESSMENT METHOD
Assessment of learning outcomes in simulated workplace environment includes written
and oral scrutiny of the strength of trainees understanding and knowledge of the
fundamentals and applications of this module.
Written quizzes and examination must be administered to check if the required learning
outcomes are achieved.
Practical Exam
Graded recitation is encouraged through a scheme of problem and solution presentation
of students.
Simulation/Machine Exercises must be given in order to simulate the activities, thus,
ensuring the trainees attainment of the required knowledge, skills, attitude and
competency. The instructor must provide the exercises.
Direct Observation
Interview
Reports/documents (printed and/or softcopy) must be submitted as required by the trainor.
