Human Rights Project Essay Rubric – World History Pre-AP - Mr.

Each aspect of the essay is graded on a scale. The highest score in the range means that the student was complete and had a
total command over the area graded. Zero means that the aspect was missing or completely wrong. Totals in between denote amount of
success in the category. Sixty points of the project was the product (collage poster 30) and presentation (30). The essay is worth forty
points. The total grade on the project is at the bottom.

ESSAY PROMPT: Underline the thesis. Explain and describe the article you have been given for the United
Nations Declaration of Human Rights. Also explain if the article is protected by law or practice within the
United States and also one other country. Make a judgment on whether the United States and the country
you have chosen to profile is doing their best to uphold the spirit of the article. Compare the two. Prove your
thesis by documenting sources in MLA format.
