For admission to the BBA / BS [Computer Sciences] Programs, the candidate must have completed A-levels
[minimum 3 pass] / 12th grade / Intermediate [minimum 60% marks including first year, no supplementary] or
equivalent from a recognized institution [those waiting for results can also apply]. For the BS [Computer Sciences]
Program, candidates with mathematical background will be preferred.
For admission to the BS [Media Sciences] Program, the candidate must have completed A-levels [minimum 3 pass]
/ 12th grade / intermediate or equivalent from a recognized institution [those waiting for results can also apply]
For admission to the MBA and MS Programs, the candidates must possess a Bachelors degree with minimum 55%
marks / CGPA 2.20 from a university recognized by the HEC in relevant field of study.

Passes in two subjects at GCE A levels and at least a grade C in the further subjects at GCE O level. Bachelor
degree holder in any discipline in second division or students who have passed Grade 12.
IELTS must be passed with an overall score of 6 bands / TOEFL score 237 on the computer based test should be
achieved. The candidates whose language to secondary education is English and who normally speak English at
home and at work, may be waived the passing of the IELTS or TOEFL.

Candidate with an MS degree from SZABIST may be admitted to the PhD program with the approval of Graduate
Committee.
Candidate with MA / MS / MBA / M.Phil [with minimum 5 yrs of formal university education] from a recognized
university may apply for direct admission to the PhD program.
A candidate with a minimum 4 years relevant degree from a recognized university may also apply for direct
admission to the PhD program through the MS route.
For acceptance into the PhD program, the applicant must pass the Admission Test / Interview with the SZABIST
Graduate Committee.

TRANSFER CANDIDATES

For transfer candidates from HEC recognized universities, a maximum of up to 6 transfer credits for BBA / BS may
be considered for courses having letter grade of B (80%) or above. The request must be made at the time of
admission, applying for transfer. Maximum time limit to transfer courses is two years. Admission Test / Interview
will be given.
For transfer from SZABIST certificate program, all courses having letter grade C (70%) or above for BBA / BS /
MBA and B (80%) or above for MS are transferable. Maximum time limit to transfer courses is two years. The
request must be made at the time of admission, applying for transfer. Admission Test / Interview will be given.
For transfer candidates from other SZABIST campuses, the candidate must fulfill the admission requirement
(Minimum Percentage & Admission test) of the local Campus the candidate wishes to transfer into. All courses /
grades will be transferred. A transfer fee will be applicable.

SZABIST provides a number of Scholarships to the needy and meritorious continuing students. Checks with the
local campus for Scholarships details.
SZABIST Financial Assistance is also available to qualified PhD candidates. This can be in the form of Teaching
Assistantship / Associate ship / Adjunct Faculty to cover the cost of tuition fees partially or totally.
HEC-USAID supports a number of scholarships for the MBA program each year, which includes full tuition fee,
books and monthly stipend.
JICA supports need based scholarship for needy students who take admission in MBA / MSCS / BBA / BSCS
programs at SZABIST. The scholarship covers tuition, books, transportation, lodging and incidentals.
Khushhali Bank Scholarships are need based scholarships for needy students from rural Sindh (expect Karachi and
Hyderabad) and Balochistan who take admission in SZABIST. These scholarships are for MBA and BBA studies.
The scholarship covers tuition, books, transportation, lodging and incidentals.
The Government of Sindh Endowment Fund also support a number of needy students. Check with the Department
of Education, Government of Sindh for endowment details.
The HEC also offers financial assistance to qualified PhD candidates. Check with the HEC for requirements and
deadlines.
All requests for Financial Assistance must be made at least one month before the regular deadline of applying for
admission.
