Scope of Work Clarifications

2.2.1

Engineering:

SPEC shall carry out the Design Engineering of the Package suitable for Onshore Oil & Gas
Industry based on sound engineering practice including that mentioned below:

Piping and Instrumentation Diagram


Pressure Vessel calculations as per ASME Sec VIII Div 1, Process Piping as per B31.3,
Wind Loading per ASCE-10, Seismic Earthquake Loading per UBC-97 based on the
appropriate Seismic Zone
Develop 3D general arrangement drawings
Procurement:
Material Test Certificates shall meet BS EN 10204 type 3.1 (pressure parts)/ BS EN
10204 type 2.2 (non pressure parts).
Area classification for Instrumentation shall be Class 1, Div. 2.
SPEC sources materials internationally from qualified suppliers. No restriction has been
considered on the origin of the materials.

Fabrication & Assembly:


Fabrication shall be carried out SPEC ASME certified fabrication facility at Houston,
Texas.
Pressure Vessel welding shall be carried out by qualified welders in accordance with
ASME Sec IX. Structure welding to be accordance with AWS D1.1
The Pressure Vessels shall be U Stamped
Valves and instrumentation to be installed on skid.
Spooling to have adequate support and to be held in place by minimum 3/8 U-Bolts.
Valves will be supported as required
SS 316 tubing will be run from Instrument air (Instrument Air by others) header which
will be located on skid to instruments.
Vessel, skid and piping will have external paint coat as per Section 3.0
Heat treatment and impact testing of vessels as required by code

Testing:
Inspection and Testing shall be carried out as per SPEC standard ITP
SPEC will perform hydrotest on vessels and piping at the appropriate pressure specified
in the calculations.
Vessel Hydrotest (at SPEC manufacturing facility) shall be witnessed by SPEC QC/
ASME Inspector/ client inspector(s)
Hydrotest will be done once per vessel and piping ONLY unless repairs are required and
will perform hydrotest upon completion of repairs.
NDT testing will be carried out by approved 3rdparty as specified in calculations and will
be reviewed by qualified personnel.
Factory acceptance test of packages by SPEC QC/SPEC Engineers in presence of Client
inspector(s)
o Review of MRB documents
o Continuity tests for instruments
o Visual Inspection
o P&ID walk through

Within our Offer we have included for one submission of Documents for approval and one final
submission of approved Documents. Additional submissions or documents if requested shall be
charged at an extra cost. Documents shall be submitted in English language only.

Warrantees:

SPEC warrantees that all materials will be brand new and free from any defects
SPEC warrantees that all supplied equipment will be free from any defects resulting from
defective manufacture or material for a period of 12 months from startup or 18 months
from delivery whichever is earlier. The materials good maintenance after delivery is
under the Buyer responsibility and it is a main condition for the guarantee validity. SPEC
shall not be responsible for defects due to normal wear, careless operation, excessive use
and/or extraordinary environmental influences.

Exceptions:

The following items has been excluded from SPEC scope of supply

All utilities (termination at tie-in points);


All storage facilities
Underground facilities;
Any Civil foundation;
Sunshade, as applicable;
Special tools for erection, commissioning and operation
Motor starters and power cabling to motors
Chemicals, required for initial fill and start up and operation of the package.
F&G Devices and associated junction boxes and cabling. Only Brackets shall be
provided.
Electrical power supply and cabling
Lighting;
DCS/PLC/BMS except Pilot Burner Igniter:
Combustex Pilot Pro or eqv

General Comments:

Our selection, capacity and operating ranges are based upon interpretation of the
information supplied to us within your enquiry, or by assumptions we have made in the
absence of such information. Any additional equipment and/or instrumentation from
design changes during detailed design shall result in price implication.
This offer was prepared using VENDOR standard specifications and international codes
referred and as applicable to the equipment manufactured by SPEC. Other specifications
which have not been explicitly asked for have not been considered in offer preparation.
Pneumatic controlled Instruments considered. Instrument Gas to be used for actuation.
In case of any shipping constraints, the skids will be supplied partially dismantled and
some instruments, manual valves, piping spools will be shipped loose. In such case
fabrication, reassembly, testing supervision (no labor) shall be provided on per diem basis
if requested.
The delivery is based on current availability of materials, drafting, and shop schedules.
Review at the time of receipt of purchase order will be conducted to establish a firm
schedule.

based on the information provided. Process and equipment details will be finalized during
the detailed engineering stage. Anything that is not mentioned in the Technical Proposal
or Specification shall NOT be considered in SPECs scope of supply.
