RECTORS REFLECTIONS

ear Friends in Christ,

As we begin a new year, it is time for us to gather as a parish

family. On January 25, immediately after worship, we will have our

Annual Meeting. This is a time for us to look back on 2014 to thank
God for His guidance and blessings, to ask forgiveness for those
failures and disappointments that lead us to acknowledge our
dependence on God, and to take stock of the spiritual and fiscal
health of our parish. We will also share a meal together and simply
enjoy each others company.
This years Annual Meeting also marks the end of elected Vestry
terms for three members of our congregation: Doug Fortman, Judy
Breitenstein, and Andrea Salisbury. I am grateful to all three of them
for their faithful service to the parish. After sixteen years on the Vestry,

Doug has chosen not to run for another term. He will, however,
continue to maintain our website that serves both the members of our congregation and the
community at large. Judy has agreed to run for Warden and Andrea has agreed to run for another
three-year term on the Vestry. Cindy Creasy has also agreed to run for a three-year term. This means we
have one person for each position available. If there is someone you would like to nominate though,
please let me know. Nominations from the floor are always accepted.
In addition to electing new members to the Vestry we will present reports on various ministries, as well
as a proposed budget for next year. I will also introduce a simple community building game that I think
you will enjoy. As well as you know the others in our congregation, you may leave with new insights and
information into those you worship with on a regular basis.
Barbara joins me in wishing you a blessed and healthy 2015.
Yours in Christ,

Bill+

DUANESBURG 250
 COMMEMORATION

was held during the early Christmas Eve service. The

Pageant went off without a hitch!

Several residents of the town have formed a committee to

commemorate the 250th anniversary of the Town of
Duanesburg. The first meeting was held in early December.
Several ideas for the commemoration were discussed. Please
consider liking the Duanesburg 250 Facebook page
(https://www.facebook.com/Duanesburg250) to receive
updates. If you are interested in learning more about this
event, please contact Deacon Debbie or Steve and Sherry
Schrade.

CHURCH UPKEEP
 YOUR HELP IS REQUESTED
As Fr. Bill discussed in December, the church no longer has a
dedicated individual to keep the Church tidy. As a result, he
and the Vestry have requested that parish volunteers stay
after the 10am Sunday services to vacuum.
