II. Introduction
Emily Rose story is about the undefeated demonic spirit inside to
her body. Emily Rose is a 19- years old girl who has a lot of dreams in
her life. One day, she and her sister were very happy because of the
letter that she received a scholarship that she has a chance to pursue
her college life. Mrs. Rose was happy because its the start of Emily Rose
dream. But they didnt notice that this is the start on how Emily Rose
suffers. Father Moore is the person who helps Emily Rose to remove the
demons in her body.
III. Summary
Emily Rose leaves her sheltered rural home to attend college with
no possible inkling of what awaits her. One night, at exactly 3:00 a.m.
Emily awake because she smell something burning outside. She has her
first terrifying hallucination and black out. Its the start of Emilys
suffering in her classroom. Emily was panic because she cant
concentrate on her studies because of what happened last night;
everything that she sees is a demon. Emily Rose experience terrifying
visions and endures wracking convulsions that leave her body twisted
and weak. She was diagnosed as epileptic by a neurologist, but the
medication he prescribes proves ineffective. Her symptoms worsen and a
second diagnoses by a psychologist is that Emily is not only epileptic but
also psychotic. When her suffering becomes more than she can bear and
medical treatment was offers, no relief. Emily turns to her parish priest
for help. After a long deliberation, Father Moore agrees to perform an
exorcism, something he has never done before. When the exorcism start,
Father Moore starts a prayer, after a few minutes the demons in Emilys
body acting o strange. Emily goes outside her father and Father Moore
dont know what to do, and then Father Moore asked Emily, tell me your
name and he replied one, two, three, four, five, six. Father Moore repeat
his question, who are you demon, tell me your name and the demon
replied I am Lucifer, the devil in the flesh. A while ago Emilys body calm
down and shut down. All people believe that what happened in Emily
and the cause of her death was the exorcism that Father Moore done to
her. Erin Bruner, a high profile defence lawyer reluctantly agrees to
represent Father Moore in exchange for the guarantee of a partnership

at her law firm. As the trial progressed, Erins cynicism and atheism are
challenged by Father Moores unwavering faith and by the eerie,
inexplicable events that surround the case. Despite Father Moores
heroic effort, Emily dies during the exorcism and the priest is
subsequently charged with negligent homicide for failing to enlist
medical assistance. At the end the judge make a decision that Father
Moore was guilty, but free to go.
IV. Conclusion
I conclude that this story was full of mystery. It shows a lot of fear
and tragedy to Emilys life. Thats why it is somehow different in our
lives now a day.
