Masthead

Located in the top left so when magazine is staggered on shelf, masthead is easily seen.
It will be sans serif style and lower case. The colour of the masthead will be gold. Large
in size, it will dominate the page and be instantly recognisable.
Main image
The image will be located in the centre of the page and dominate the whole cover. The
artist will show direct address, engaging with the audience. The artist will hold a mic,
clearly showing that it is a musical magazine.
Coverlines
Coverlines will be placed to the left and right of the artist. The will advertise what is
featured in the magazine. The colours will be linked to the masthead or colour of artists
clothing. They will be smaller than the masthead and title.
Title
The title will introduce the artist. It will be the same colour as the artists clothing to show
they are both linked. It will anchor the main image and be large in size.
Date, issue, barcode
All three will be in the bottom right of the magazine. They will be small in size as they
are not as important as the coverlines. Barcode will show authenticity and date and issue
will show the magazine is up to date.
Front Cover

Masthead
Will be placed at top left of page, large in size so point of page is made clear. Will be the
same colour as the masthead on the front cover.
Images
Three images. 1- Editorial 2- Artist on stage 3- Song writer on park bench. Will be
staggered down the page to make the page look full of content.
Editorial
Will be placed in top left. Short paragraph about the magazine will feature including a
signature. A picture of the editor will also feature.
Coverlines
Coverlines will be about content of different pages; they will include the page number
beside them. They will also be staggered with the images beside them.
Contents Page

Title
Will be the largest text, dominating top of page. It will introduce the topic of the page.
Colour will be purple as this matches with the house style of the magazine.
Sub-title
Sub-title will further develop the topic of the page. It will be a question about the artist. It
will be smaller in size compared to the title however larger than the main body of text.
The colour will match the colour of the clothing worn by the artist to show they are
linked.
Byline
Will feature on the right side below the title and sub-title. Used to inform the reader who
conducted the interview.
Main image and caption
Image will cover entire left page and will be linked to the purpose of the interview. The
caption will show who took the picture and the location.
Interview and quote
Interview will link with the purpose of the picture. Artist will be asked about lifestyle and
new album release. There will be a quote in the middle of the page; it will be something
the artist has said.
