weretrue.Idon'tcarewhatitis.Youcanimaginethemostincrediblethingintheworldtobe
trueandifyouarefaithfultothatassumptionandliveinthatstate,itwillcometopass.Ofthat
IamconvincedandIknowfrompersonalexperience.ThatiswhyIaskyoutosharewithme
yourexperiencessoImaysharethemwiththosewhocomehere.HereisoneIwastoldonly
recently.

Thegentlemanwrote:"Whilesittinginmyoffice,Iwasboredandthought,therecertainlymust
beamorepleasantwayofearningtwicewhatIamnowmaking.Well,Idecidedrightthere
andthenthatIwoulddoit.ForafewdaysIimaginedhavingthatamountandthen,because
nothingchangedinmyworld,Iwonderedifitwasreallypossible.ImmediatelyIstoppedthe
thoughtandreenactedthescene,whichimpliedthatIwasearningtwicewhatIwasearning
atthemoment.Ididn'tspecifywhatthejobwas,onlythemoneyinvolved.

TwoweekslateramanIhaveknowncasuallyforthreeyearsaskedmetocomeworkforhim.
Hehadneverdonethatbefore,yetnowhewasinsistentandwhenhementionedthesalaryit
wasexactlytwicewhatIwasearning.SoIwenttoworkforhim.WhilethereIsaidtomyself:
"Thisthingismagic,sowhyshouldIwork?WhynothaveanincomeequaltoallthatIneed
withoutthesocalledwork?"SothisiswhatIdid.Iimaginedgoingtomymailbox,openingit
andtakingouttheusualletters,correspondence,billsandanunidentifiedenvelope.Arriving
homeIopenedtheenvelopeandfoundacheckintheamountIthoughtIwouldneedfora
long,longnonworkingperiod.ThenIsawthatamountaddedtomybalancesheetfromthe
bank.IdidthateverynightasIwenttosleep.Twoweekslater,seeingnoevidenceofthis
whatsoever,Isaidtomyself:"Areyougoingmad?Thisthingiscompletelystupid."Thenhe
addedasalittleaside,"AsIoncethoughtyouwere."

Well,he'snottheonlyonewhohasthoughtIwasmad.Eventheonewhoawokeinscripture
wascalledmad.Readitinthe10thofJohn:"Noonetakesmylife,Ilayitdownmyself.Ihave
thepowertolayitdownandthepowertoliftitupagain."Thenthosewhoheardsaid,"Why
dowelistentohim?Hehasadevilandismad."InNewYorkCityin1939therewasa
bookshopon49thStreetwhereIlovedtospendmydays.Ihadnobooksinprintatthetime
buttheownershadplacedmypictureinthewindow.Thisday,asIapproachedthe
bookstore,twoladieswerelookinginthewindow.Oneladypointedtomypictureandsaid:
"Doyouknowwhoheis?Heisthemadmysticof47thStreet.Youshouldhearhim.Doyou
knowwhathetellspeople?That
theirconsciousnessisGod.Hetellsyouthatimaginingcreatesreality.Now,isn'tthatthe

silliestthingintheworld?Youmustgohearhimsomenight."Thattookplacemanyyearsago
butnowthisgentlemanquestionshisownsanityasheoncehadquestionedmine.

"But..."hecontinues,"twoweekslaterIkeptadateIhadmademanymonthsagowitha
friend.Whilewewerevisiting,hetoldmehehadjustinheritedalargesumofmoneyfroman
unknownrelativeandheurgeduponmetheamount,totheverydollarthatIhadimagined,so
Itookit.ThatsummerIdidallthethingsIhavewantedtodoallofmylife.Iwenttothebeach,
relaxedandgenerallyenjoyedmyself.ThenamanIhadneverseenbeforecalledandasked
metocometoworkforhim.ItoldhimIdidn'twanttoworkforanyonebuthewasinsistent,so
Itooksomeofmyworkandwenttoseehim.Themansolikedmyworkhecalledhischief
clientandwewenttoseehimimmediately.WhenIwalkedintotheclient'sofficeIknewIhad
beentherebefore.Irecognizedthepaneledwall,thegiantoakthatcouldbeseenfromthe
window,aswellastheplantinthecorneroftheroom.Eventhemanwasthesameasthe
oneIhadseen,notphysically,butinmyimagination.AfteracceptingthejobIreturnedhome
andremembered.Thisisthegreatlessonittaughtme.

Irememberedsittingatmydeskandallowingmymindtowander.Iwanderedintothat
paneledofficewhereIlookedthroughthatwindowatthegiantoak.Irememberedseeingthe
manandtheplant.Havingseenitinmyimagination,thisismyconclusion.Imagination
createsrealityinthemostdetermined,definitemannermancouldeverimagine.Notonly
doestheintentionalimaginalactcreateafactbuteveryoneislivingbythisprincipleevery
momentoftimewhetherheknowsitorcarestoknowit.Whetherhebelievesitorwantsto
believeit,hecan'tavoidtheprinciplethatimaginingcreatesreality.It'snotonlytheintentional
imaginalactsbuteveryimaginalact,forIdidnotwanderintothatroomintentionally.

Now,hesaid,Ihaveaplantgrowinginmylivingroom.It'sthemostluxuriousplantyoucould
imagineyeteverynurserymantellsmetheplantcannotliveundertheseconditions.Whyisit
thriving?BecauseIwentforwardinmyimaginationandsawitthriving.Nowitistakingover
mylivingroomalthoughallthenurserymentellmeit'simpossible.

Ifthereisevidenceforathing,whatyouorIthinkaboutthematterisnotimportant.What
doesitmatterwhatanyonethinksiftheevidenceisproduced?HehastheevidenceandI
can'tthankhimenoughforthatletter.TheseareheavenlystoriesthatIcansharewithyou.

Idon'tcarewhatamanhasdone,ifheknowsandappliesthiswonderfulprincipleofGodhe
cansethimselffree.Godisaforgivingbeing.Ifheheldthingsagainstuswhocouldescape?
Itdoesn'tmatterwhatamanhasdone,GodisforgivingandwillforgiveallbecauseGod
becamemanthatmanmightbecomeGod.Butremember,wearealwaysimaginingand
regardlessofwhetheryourimaginalactisintentionalornot,allimaginalactsbecomefacts.

NightafternightwhenIgotobed,myimaginativeeyeopensandIseeworldsthatareentirely
differentfromthisone.AndwhenIintensifymysight,offIgo,shotlikeameteortotheplaceI
amcontemplating.Isteprightintothatworldanditbecomesjustasrealasthisone.The

energythatisone'simaginationislifeitself.Itanimateseverythingintheworld.Myfriend
allowedhismindtowanderandashedidhemovedintoaplay,enteredapaneledroomand
observedaman,aplantandtheviewofanoaktreefromthewindow.

Twoweekslaterhephysicallyenterstheroom.Inhisletterhesaid,"NowIknowthatyouare
teachingthetruth,forthelawisthetruthandIthankyouforteachingmehowtouseit."I
thankhimasprofusely,ifnotmoreso,forsharingthiswithmethatIcantellyouthese
wonderfulstories.

Nowwegotoanotheraspectofthisthoughtofbeingfreeoraslave.Weareallslaves,for
everyoneisbornofwoman,thewomancalledHagarintheBible.Mymotherwasborn
WilhelminabutsheisHagar.MywifeisKatherineWillabutsheisHagar,forsheboreachild.
EverywombthatbringsachildintothisworldistheBiblicalHagar.Butthereisanother
womb,calledSarah,sheisfromaboveandbringseveryoneintofreedom.

InthebookofGenesiswearetoldthat"Abramfellintoadeepsleepandwhileheslepta
greatdarknessdescendeduponhim.AndtheLordsaidtohim,'Yourdescendantsshallbe
sojournersinalandthatisnottheirs.Theywillbeslavesthereforfourhundredyears.After
thattheyshallcomeintoagreatinheritance.'"AndwhenAbrahamwasdisturbedbecausehe
didn'thaveanheirtheLordsaid,"Yourownsonwillbeyourheir."ThenAbrahamlaughed
becausehewasonehundredyearsoldandSarahninetyand"ithadceasedtobewithher
afterthemannerofwomen."Now,thissamestoryistoldinthebookofExodus,butthistime
itisfourhundredandthirtyyearsinsteadoffourhundred."TheLordbroughtthechildrenof
IsraeloutofEgyptafter430years."

Hebrewisthegreatesttongueintheworld,nottouseamongpeoplebuttoexpressthe
mysteriesofscripture.IntheHebrewtongueeveryletterhasanumericalandsymbolical
value.Abrahamwasonehundredyearsold.ThatisQoph,whosesymbolisthebackofthe
skull.Andthenumberfourhundredhasthesymbolicalvalueofthesignofthecross.It'sthe
twentysecond,thelastletteroftheHebrewalphabet,Tav.

Weareallonthecross,forthebodyyouwearhereisthecrossyoubear.Thereisnowooden
cross.Forgetallthatnonsense.TheuniversalChristiscrucifiedonyourbody.Thatiswhere
theMessiah,whichisGodHimselfiscrucified.Iknowfromexperience.Iamnotspeculating.
Aslongasyouweartheflesh,youbearthecrossandthatisfourhundred.Notfourhundred
yearsasyouandImeasuretimebutuntilyoutakeoffyourcrossforthelasttime.Whenyour
journeycomestoitsendyouwillreceivethegloryofyourheavenlyinheritance.Thiscannot
berealizedinyouuntilyourgarmentofflesh(yourcross)isremoved,anditconiesattheend

Thenwhythethirty?Thirtyisthepricepaidforaslave.Theunfreedperson'spricewasthirty

butt,goreorkillathing,theowneroftheanimalmustpaytotheowneroftheslavethirty

shekelsofsilver."Thatisthepriceoftheunfreedperson.Everyonehereisworththirtypieces
ofsilver.WhenthemessengerofChristcomesintotheworldandsogoadsyou(forthirtyis
LamedinHebrew,whosesymbolisanoxgoadandthetwelfthletterofthealphabet)togive
upyourtraditionalconceptsandmovefromaGodoftraditionintotheGodofexperienceyou
havebeenbuttedandthirtypiecesofsilverarepaidforyourfreedom.ItissaidthatJudas

scripturethatwasmoreHebraicthanPaul.Heconfesses,"IamofthetribeofBenjamin,a
sonofAbraham.ARomanbycitizenshipbutaHebrewofHebrews."Hepersecutedthose
whospokeasIhavethisnightuntilhehadtherevelation.Thenhebecameagreatteacherof
thisway.Youcan'tputanyoneinthesamecategorywithPaul.HislettertotheGalatiansisa
biography.Inithesays,"Thisisanallegory.Abrahamhadtwosons,onebyaslaveborn
accordingtotheflesh"(that'syouandI)"andonebyafreewoman,bornaccordingtothe
promise."Doyouknowwhatanallegoryis?It'sastorytoldfigurativelyorsymbolicallythat
needsinterpretation,sothatthehearer(orreader)candiscoverthefictitiouscharactersand
learnitslesson.NowPaulcontinueshisallegorysaying,"Hagarbearschildrenaccordingto
thefleshandSarah,theJerusalemfromabove,isfree.Sheisourmother."

Ihaveexperiencedbothbirths.Idon'trecallmybirthfrommyphysicalmother'swombbutI
knowsheboremeintoslavery.That'sHagar.Ididn'tknowwhotheotheronewasuntilit
happenedtomeonthemorningofJuly20,1959whenIcameoutofshewhoisfromabove.
Rightoutofmyownskull.Irosewithinmyselfandcameoutasonebeingborn,tofindthe
entiresymbolismofscriptureunfoldingbeforemeandIcastasthecentralbeinginthedrama.

andtohisoffspring"(singular,notplural)"whichisChrist."InthesameletterPaulsays,"I
laborwithyouuntilChristbeformedinyou."GodtheFatherisforminghimselfinyou,asyou
andwhentheformisperfectyoubringforthChristasyourselfandsaywiththeknowledgeof
experience,"IamHe."

Godlaidhimselfdownwithinmetosleepandasheslepthedreamedadream.Hedreamed
thatheisI,andwhenheawokeIamhe.HowdidIknowit?Throughrevelation.David,inthe
Spirit,calledmeFatherandGodsaidtoDavid:"Thouartmyson,todayIhavebegotten

SoItellyouinthehopethatyouwillbelievemeandshareyourexperienceswithme.This
wonderfullettercamefromalady.Shesaid,"Itismyhabittohaveapadandpencilatmy
nighttablewhenIretire.ThismorningIgotup,gotDustyofftoschoolandreturnedtomake
thebedwhenIdiscoveredwritingonthepad.

AtthemomentIcouldn'trecallhavingwrittenonitbutthisiswhatIwrote:"Avoicesaid,'I
movedintothewombofwomanuntilitwastime.'"Shehasmovedintothewombofthe
womanfromabove.Mayitnotbetoolongbeforesheisfreed.Shehasbeenhavingsome
marvellousexperiencesbutIdonotknowwhen.Nooneknows,noteventheson,onlythe
Fatherinher.TheFathersleepsinallandashebringshimselfout,Christisbroughtinto
reality.

Soareyoufreeoraslave?IfyouknowGod'slawasthisgentlemandoes,youcanbeasfree
asthewind.Justimagineagentlemansittingathisdeskcontemplatingdoublinghisincome
andoutofnowhereamanhehadseenweeklyforthreeyears,istheinstrumentthrough
whichthisdoublingoccurs.Inspiteofthathewantssomethingmore.Hedoesn'twantto
work.Sohekeepsadatehemademonthsbeforewithamanwhohadjustreceivedan
inheritancefromanunknownrelativewhoinsistsheshareitwithhim.Thenheurgesupon
himacheckfortheexactamountthathe,overaperiodoftwoweeks,hadremovedfromhis
unidentifiedenvelope.Sohetakesoffandenjoystheentiresummerdoingnothing.Thena
callcomesfromonehehadneverseenurginghimtocomeseehimandbringsomeofhis
work.Themanintroduceshimtothemanintheofficethatthegentlemanhadslippedinto
whilesittingathisdeskdreamingadream.

Ithinkthisisfantastic.Asidefromknowingthislaw,heisawarethatnotonlytheintentional
imaginalactproducesitselfinanexperience,butalsotheunintentional.Everyimaginalactis
producingitselfintothisworld,whetheryouwanttobelieveitornotthereforewhynot
becomeintentionalaboutit?Whynottakethehelmandturntheshiptoyourtruedestination?
Weareallatsea,asitwere,andweareeitherdriftingorwecantakeholdofthathelmand
gotowardstheportwewant.It'sentirelyuptous.

SoIrepeat,imaginingcreatesreality.Thegreatstepsforwardinthisworldweremadeby
menandwomenwhoimaginedasifitwere.Theysawtheimaginativethingsasthoughthey
wereandbuilttheirworldbaseduponthatact.Whenyoubegintoimaginethatthingsareas
youwouldlikethemtobeyoubreakthebind,foryouareabondman,aslaveuntilyouknow
howtoimagineandlivebyit.Sowhileyouarelivingintheworldoftheslave,learnGod'slaw,
forweareenslavedforfourhundredyearsaslongaswewearthecrosstheTav.

UntilItakethiscrossoff,Icannotreallygraspthefantasticinheritancethatismine.Ihave
inheritedthatwhichisuntarnished,thatisforever,formyinheritanceisGodhimself.Like
Paul,"IshoulddesiretobewithChrist.Thatisbetterbyfarbutforyoursake,theneedisfar

greaterthatIstayoninthebody."Hehadinheritedtheentire,fabulouspromisebutforthe
sakeofthosehewouldstayoninthebodyandnoonereallyknowsthenatureofhisend.
Thechurcheshavehimmartyredormurderedbuthisdeathisnotrecordedinscripture.

Galatiansagainstthissaying:"Whyareyousofoolish,havingbegunwiththespiritareyou
endingwiththeflesh?"Buttheyreaditanddon'tseeit.Theyhaveearsyettheyhearnot.You
willneverknowyouareHeuntilhisSonappearsandcallsyouFather.Onlythenwillyou
knowwhoyouare.

Choosethisnightwhatyouwishtobe,freeoraslave.Itellyou,youcanbeanythingyou
wanttobe.Idon'tcarewhattheworldwilltellyou.Don'tthinkmemad,asthegentleman
oncedidandtheladiesinNewYork.I'mnotmad.Iseeworldsthatnoonesees.Icommune

Andtheywaitforme.Ihavecrowdswaitingforme.Igo,teachthemandthenreturnhere.No
matterwhereIgoI'mdoingtheworkofGod,forwhenheembracedmeIwassent.Atthe
momentoftheembraceIbecameonewithGodandcansaywithPaul,"AmInotfree?AmI
notanapostle?HaveInotseenJesus,ourLord?".That'stheonequalificationfor
apostleship.Andwhatisanapostle?Onewhoisfirstcalled,embracedandincorporatedinto
thebodyoftheRisenChristandsent.Notonlysentherebut"Ihaveothersheepthatarenot
ofthisfold".TheothersarenotnecessarilyinNewYorkCityorSanFranciscowhereIwillbe
goingthiscomingyear.No.Thereareworldswithinworldswithinworldsouttherewaitingfor
meandIgoandteach.NowthatmaysoundasthoughIamasmadasahatter,butitmakes
nodifferencetome.Ifthisismadness,thenIamallforit.

ButItellyou,ifyouwillknowandlivebythewordofGodyouwilldiscoverthatitpaysoffin
enormousdividends.Itwillneverfailyou.If,afteryouhaveimagined,doubtappears,throwit
out.Youhavedoneit.Andremember,notonlyalloftheintentionalcomeintobeingbutallthe
unintentionalactsarejustascreative.Sowhentheunexpectedlittleannoyanceshappen,

theycouldn'thappenbythemselves.Theywerebroughtintobeingbyanimaginalactthatis
nowforgottenandcanremainonlyaslongasyousupportthembyanimaginalact.Andwhen
theannoyancesceasetoreceiveyoursupport,theyvanish.
