1.0 INTRODUCTION
COMPUTER NETWORK
A computer network is a system of interconnected computers and peripheral
devices. For example, it may computers, printers, scanners and cameras.
Using hardware and software, these interconnected computing devices can
communicate with each other through defined rules of data communications.
In a network, computers can exchange and share information and resources.
A computer network may operate on wired connections or wireless
connections. When two or more networks are linked or connected or
connected and are able to communicate with one another using suitable
hardware and software, it is called an internetwork.

COMMUNICATION
Communication is about the transfer of information from a sender, across a
distance, to a receiver. Using electricity, radio waves or light, information and
data in the form of codes are transmitted through a physical medium such as
wire, cable, or even the atmosphere. Therefore, in order to make
communications possible from computers, across telephones and radios and
back to computers and other digital devices again, there must be a signal
translator, which we call a modem. The modem, which is short for modulator
or demodulator, converts digital signals into analog and back again into
digital signals for information to move across the telephone line.

2.0 MOBILE COMPUTING

2.1 DEFINITION

Mobile Computing is a generic term describing your to use technology

untethered, that is not physically connected, or in remote or mobile (non
static) environments. The term is evolved in modern usage such that it
requires that the computing activity be connected wirelessly to and through
the internet or to and through a private network. This connection ties the
mobile device to centrally located information and application software
through the use of battery powered, portable, and wireless computing and
communication devices.

MOBILE COMPUTING

IPHONE 6

The iPhone 6 are smartphones running iOS developed by Apple Inc. The
devices are part of the iPhone series and were released on September 19,
2014. The iPhone 6 series includes a number of changes over its
predecessor, including models with larger 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch displays, a
faster processor, upgraded cameras, improved LTE and Wi-Fi connectivity.

3.0 INTERNET TECHNOLOGY AND SERVICE

3.1 VOIP
VoIP stands for Voice Over Internet Protocol and it is also known as
Internet Telephony. If you have high-speed Internet (cable,/DSL, LAN) on your
computer, you can connect your phone to your computer and make calls that
way. So, you are basically making telephone calls over your computer. You
must have a special adapter for this to work, but when you do, you plug your
phone line into the adapter instead of plugging it into the wall jack. The

adapter is then plugged into your Internet modem, which allows VoIP to
convert the voice signal from the phone line into a data that is able to travel
over the internet .For example YAHOO VOICE. Use for PC, connection, and
YAHOO MESSENGER to make PC to phone cell to and from countries around
the world that can hear voice.

3.2 BLOG
A blog (a truncation of the expression web log) is a discussion or
informational site published on the World Wide Web and consisting of
discrete entries (posts) typically displayed in reverse chronological order
(the most recent post appears first). A blog is usually referred to the text
produced by the author about his on her thought, experience or interest. The
post to a blog are usually arranged in this order, the most recent entries will
always be on top of the journal.

4.0 TYPE OF NETWORK

4.1 PAN
A personal area network (PAN) is a computer network used for data
transmission among devices such as computers, telephones and personal
digital assistants. PAN can be used for communication among the personal
devices themselves (intrapersonal communication), or for connecting to a
higher level network and the Internet (an uplink). A personal area network
(PAN) is a technology that could enable wearable computer devices to
communicate with other nearby computers and exchange digital information
using the electrical conductivity of the huan body as a data network.

4.2 VPN
A virtual private network (VPN) is a network
that uses a public telecommunication
infrastructure, such as the internet, to remote
offices or individuals with secure access to their organization private
network. The advantaged for VPN is one solution to establishing longdistance and/or secured network connections. VPNs are normally
implemented (deployed) by businesses or organizations rather than by
individuals, but virtual networks can be reached from inside a home network.
Compared to other technologies, VPNs offers several advantages, particularly
benefits for wireless local area networking.

4.3 WLAN
A wireless local area network (WLAN) is a wireless computer network
that links two or more devices using a wireless distribution method (often
spread-spectrum or OFDM radio) within a limited area such as a home,
school, computer laboratory, or office building. This gives users the ability to
move around within a local coverage area and still be connected to the
network, and can provide a connection to the wider Internet. Most modern
WLANs are based on IEEE 802.11 standards, marketed under the Wi-Fi brand
name.

4.4 WIMAX

WIMAX (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access) is a

wireless communications standard designed to provide 30 to 40 megabit-persecond data rates,[1] with the 2011 update providing up to 1 G bit/s[1] for
fixed stations. The name "WIMAX" was created by the WIMAX Forum, which
was formed in June 2001 to promote conformity and interoperability of the
standard. The forum describes WIMAX as "a standards-based technology
enabling the delivery of last mile wireless broadband access as an alternative
to cable and DSL.

5.0 CONCLUSION
We can conclude that computer networks and communication makes our life
easier to communicate with each other and the world using the computer.
Todays computing has rapidly grown from being confined to a single
location. With mobile computing, people can work from the comfort of any
location they wish to as long as the connection and the security concerns are
properly factored. In the same light, the presence of high speed connections
has also promoted the use of mobile computing.
