LA CARNE

In keeping with my love of 50's and early 60's
inspired aesthetics, La Carne is, quite simply,
a Slab-o-tone! Its actually a slab and a half
(and it sounds it). It starts with the original,
but familiar, body shape and full tenon set
neck construction. Two custom spec'd Arcane
Inc. USA P-90 pickups are placed along with
a single aluminum stop bar. Complexity has
never sounded so Raw!

LA CARNE CUSTOM KOA

Once again veering to the left of the traditional

for Custom models that are built to spec, the
AAAAA figured Koa Custom Is among the finest
in build spec, quality and tonal voice.. The koa
I hand select is getting scarce and its beautiful
characteristics, articulation and warmth are
just unlike any other timber. It starts with a slab
of light equatorial mahogany body, one piece
quarter sawn Honduran mahogany neck, and
a select AAAAA Koa top. Beefy and refined
neck profiles and the new Stiletto headstock
design offering even richer overtones. With a
variety of custom options like tremolos and
the new hum canceling system. The La Carne
Custom Koa is a statement all its own.

EL CABILLO

Taking the symmetrical double cut tradition and

running with it we have El Cabillo. Along
with the Equatorial light weight slab and a choice
of toneful neck timber options, this model also
features late 50's neck profiles. Two custom
spec'd Arcane Inc. USA P-90 pickups are placed
along with an intonatable wrap around bridge.
Options including custom aged finishes which
add an even more potent allure and the luster
to the instrument creating another true to form
work horse!

DOWNTOWNER
DELUXE

The Downtowner Deluxe is a straight forward

instrument representing the classic elements
of the 1950's builds recognized for their
simple perfection. (see Tonequest Report's
2012 review). It utilizes Echopark Guitars
standard "full tenon" neck construction and
features two custom spec'd Arcane Inc. USA
P-90 pickups. The 'dog ear' mounted in the
bridge position produces a noticeable presence
and bark because it is directly mounted to the
top of the instrument, while the neck 'soap bar'
P-90 produces woody and thick traditional
tones. Consistent American aesthetic, quality
and a palate of tones in a modern Boutique
build.

DOWNTOWNER CUSTOM

The bench mark of the Echopark family of

guitars takes the idea of modern vintage
to the next level. The Custom offers a tonal
palate and feel of the classic late 50's era
specials. The foundation is pure American
vintage build quality. From the 'full tenon'
neck construction to the deep, one piece
'Ribbon Mahogany' slab body and the

DOWNTOWNER CUSTOM KOA

The Downtowner Custom Koa is as straight

'55 GOLD
The '55 Gold embodies the elegance, style
and class of this pivotal year in American guitar
history. From the timber selections and bullet
proof build quality, to the rich three toned Gold
Nitrocellulose finish, the '55 Gold and features
Two Arcane Inc. USA Triple clone pickups. All
said is the sum of its parts aligning it as yet
another Classic instrument in the Echopark

ARROYO
The heart of Echopark Guitars is found deep within the
design, aesthetic, style, construction and voice of the of
the Arroyo. This dynamic model offers up a gracious
toast to every long forgotten, un-popular electric guitar
ever found in a dark corner in a garage attic, pawn shop
or thrift store; all in a sleek modern build that flows in
line with the historic L.A. River from which it draws
its name. Consistent American aesthetic, quality and a
palate of tones in a modern Boutique build .

SOUTH SIDER BIG BOX

Drawing upon the vastly rich tradition of the semi-hollowbody build, this model pushes the
concept into new territory. I wanted to create a model that would be the best example of all my
influences, while displaying a hand crafted instrument that is 100% American made with the build
quality and aesthetic inspired by the modern movement
of the 1930's. As found in Eastern America and inspired
by Italy's rich tradition of hand crafted instruments.
The Book matched hand carved tops are selected from
the ancient California red wood sinker logs harvested and
milled in Northern California. The deeply chambered
3 piece body of Genuine Mahogany and figured Red
Maple are the bedrock of this model as is The 3 piece
full tenon neck. Carved from quarter-sawn Honduran
mahogany with a Koa center.
It is specifically crafted to produce a more articulate
Grand piano tone.
Specially designed Echopark /Arcane Inc. USA pickups
and German handcrafted harpform trapeze tailpiece
round out the resonant, tonal delivery.

CLARENCE
TENNESSEE MODEL
This configuration of the Clarence model
takes the classic contour elements of the world
famous 1950's guitar that Freddy Tavares
was a key artist in helping to design. I add
a three pickup configuration that delivers a
tonal palate ranging from the early 1950's
Broadcaster bridge to the clear bell tones
of the 1962 model. The Clarence Tennessee
Model features a one piece slab swamp ash
body and a one piece maple neck that most
complex pickers will find damned satisfying.

CLARENCE CUSTOM
Clarence is, quite simply, the Echopark Guitar that is made in honor of and with great respect
to the late Clarence Fender. This is essentially my replication of the Trisonic R&D guitar found
in the attic of Leos lab (see the Clarence Story). I feel its my responsibility to make this lost
treasure into the musically-minded configuration that he and George might have created. All
American vintage aesthetic, quality and a palate of tones in a modern Boutique build.

CLARENCE GC (GOLD COIL)

Drawing upon the unique influence of the classic Teisco gold foil pickups,
Echopark Guitars is proud to present the Clarence GC. This guitar
features a stylized, all new version of the original pickup called the Gold
Coil pickup which was designed in cooperation with Rob Timmons
of Arcane Inc. It is mounted in the guard and coupled with a 1950 lap
style grey bobbin in the bridge and a control route similar to a '58 special
with 50s Jr. wiring. The Clarence GC sings from a one piece slab of
southern swamp ash hand selected by Gabriel Currie.

CLARENCE GOLD COIL

DELUXE
Drawing upon the influence of the Rat Rod Era and so many
Blazing Country pickers...
Echopark Guitars is proud to present the Clarence GC
Deluxe. This guitar features the same component spec's as the
Gold Coil but has taken it Down and Dirty with the addition
of The Classic American Bigsby B-6 Tremolo unit and the
ultra Precise Masterey 'offset' bridge for a classic, stylized
version of the Gold Coil

CLARENCE
'LIGHT'
LIMITED
The Clarence "light" sings from a one
piece slab of rare ultra light 40+ yr old
southern swamp ash. These are limited in
availability as I only have enough to make
40 instruments..It took me 5 years to find
the fella who had this in his barn...when its
gone...its gone. These are all @4.5 lbs!!

THE CLARENCE "ROSE"

LIMITED
The Clarence Rose Limited is a homage
to a by-gone era. Ironically, the print was
originally used as wall covering in France perfect for a Echopark Guitar!
I have opted to authentically cold check
patina and perform a little forced aging on
the instrument. These are built in limited
runs of 13 named by state with elements that
best evoke the spirit of each location.

De LEON
Raised in the fertile musical landscape of Los Angeles, third generation Dutch
nobleman Troy Van Leeuwen took to the lyre, lute and Spanish electric guitars like
a crow into the bruised & battered skies. At four years old, the elder Van Leeuwen
ushered his young son toward his calling by way of the music of the immortal
Chuck Berry. Since that fateful day, his musical vision has taken twist after turn and
back again. Allied with some of the most talented, creative and sincere songsmiths
alive, his love and never ending passion for textures, tones and the mysteries held
within the electric six-stringed instrument have become synonymous with some
of the most potent musical artistry available in these modern times. He has spent
more than a decade producing, writing and mainly performing the world over.
Night after night, he pushes the sonic envelope to re-discover the inspiration that
accompanied his first encounter with Chuck Berry that single day so many years
ago.
De Leon- Limited case study of 13 guitars
The De Leon features a vintage styled medium soft "V" neck carve, a Echopark
custom hand-wound pickup set, a custom control layout, and is available in either
a Custom Aged or Sleek finish.
Quite simply, the De Leon exemplifies the modern-vintage aesthetic of
Echopark Guitars.

JONNY TWO BAGS

SIGNATURE MODEL
Known for his uncompromising tone, Jonnys
vintage Juniors are the heart of the SoCal punk
rock icons Social Distortion. Jonny and I took
what we consider the best elements of the late
1950s guitars during our design discussions.
It only made sense to maintain the rawest form
when combining key neck dimensions of his mid
50's and late 50's Juniors to create a modern Wall
of Tone.
