ACADEMIC PROJECT :

Project Name : “Microwave assisted synthesis of Bisimide using ionic liquid”.

Clint : Science College, Nanded.
Project : I carried out project under the guidance of Dr. R. P. Pawar
(D.S.M college, Parbhani)
Microwave assisted synthesis of Bisimide using ionic liquid, in this project we
have synthesized different Bisimide using anhydride, diamine (eg. Ethylene diamine,
urea, Thiourea, ortho, para diamine etc.) and Ionic liquid. In this reaction dehydrative
condensation of anhydride and diamine using ionic liquid ([BMIM] Br, [BMIM] BF4)
EXPERIENCE

Working in National Chemical Laboratory as a Project assistant II in Division of Organic

Chemistry on project “Novel Synthesis of Fungicide” under the guidance of Dr. Mrs. S.
R. Deshpande. Worked on project “Novel Synthesis Of Fungicides”. In this project we
are synthesing many different molecule and we got activity which is checked by Bio-
Dept of NCL.

EXPERIMENTAL SKILLS

• The handling skill of Spectrophotometer, IR instrument etc.

• Carried out various reactions including functional group transformations and
various C-C bond-forming..
• Scaling- up of reactions from milligrams to grams scale.
• Ability to work independently as well as in Groups.
• Expertise in modern spectroscopic techniques and chromatographic
techniques and interpretation of spectral data viz. 1H NMR, 13
CMR, IR,
MASS, LC-MS, HPLC etc.
• Ability to work independently as well as in Groups
• Multistep organic synthesis.

• MS-CIT, computer course.

• Knowledge of internet search techniques used to find required information
and monitor sites of interest to the department
