MUNICIPAL RESOLUTION NO. 092-2014

REINFORCING LGU INITIATIVES TOWARDS THE REDUCTION OF MALNUTRITION IN THE
MUNICIPALITY OF GUINOBATAN TO INTERVIDA PHILIPPINES, PROVINCIAL HEALTH
OFFICE AND THE NATIONAL NUTRITION COUNCIL, REGIONAL OFFICE.

WHEREAS,
it is of common understanding that malnutrition or an individuals condition
of being deprived of certain nutrients necessary for growth, is a severe threat to public health;
WHEREAS,
the Intervida Philippines Foundation, Provincial Health Office and the
National Nutrition Council Regional Office, propose to work on strengthening public structure for
nutrition by making such structures functional and responsive to the needs of our constituency;
WHEREAS,
this august body aptly supports this intention as the same is in accordance
with the mandate of the Local Government Code of 1991 in the provision of basic services and
facilities to the public, and that the same is appropriate, beneficial and necessary to the
improvement of nutrition, and corollary to that, the reduction of malnutrition;
WHEREFORE, in view of the foregoing premises, be it now:
RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved by the Sangguniang Bayan of Guinobatan, Albay
in session assembled, to reinforce as it hereby reinforces LGU Initiatives Towards the Reduction of
Malnutrition in the Municipality of Guinobatan to Intervida Philippines, Provincial Health Office and
the National Nutrition Council, Regional Office.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that a copy of this resolution be furnished the Offices of the
Mayor, the Intervida Philippines, Provincial Health Office and the National Nutrition Council
Regional Office, and such other concerned offices or agencies, for their information and
appropriate action.
