I. Standard Competency
The students are able to comprehend and express the idea in a very simple
short functional text in the form of caution which is related to the nearby
environment.
II. Basic competence
The students are able to read with the right intonation, are able to respond and
express the idea in simple short functional text by using various written
language accurately and communicatively and related to the nearby
environment. Also, the students are able to comprehend the rhetorical steps in
short functional text (short message).

6. Students are asked to create the statements of
cautions based on the symbols given together.
Several students write down the cautions on the
board and teacher may correct them if there is any
mistake (the tense or the spelling).
7. Several students read aloud the text on the board
individually.
8. With their partner, students create the cautions based
on the situation given or their own choice . They
must create at least 3 cautions. Teacher monitors the
activity and may ask them to read their own cautions
9. Students and the teacher discuss about short
functional text: caution to strengthen students
understanding.
Post-activities (10 minutes)
1. Several students are asked to express what they feel
and have learned in the class that day, and the
teacher gives reflection on the materials learned.

Involve in all activities during teaching learning process in the
classroom, can express his feeling and attitude which is relevant to the
nature of the culture of the target language and local culture as well.
The learners are assessed by assessor. At least he is in Improve
category which covers: creativity, honesty, bravery, compromise,
cooperation and responsibility (see Observation Sheet 4)

Social Behavior:
Involve in teaching learning process which is learners-centered, the
learners are assessed by the assessor. The minimal requirement is that
the learners is in Improve category which shows the learners
behavior in asking question, sharing ideas, arguing, communicating
and listening to others well which are relevant to the culture of the
target language and local culture as well. The observation is assessed
based on Observation Sheet 5 (Social Skill)
