Course Description:
This course deals with the systematic study of the origin of man, relationships among individuals and their distinctive way of
life involving social acts, social organizations, social processes, attitudes, beliefs, values, norms and social institution which make
up the social order, current problems and issues in our society. It also deals with the current issues on population and climate
change.

Objectives of the Subject:


1. Comprehend & understand the complexity of the Philippine society and culture.
2. To emulate the desirable values which are important for an orderly and progressive society.
3. To broaden our experience and knowledge by discarding our biases and become more understanding to the customs of other
people.
4. To develop rational and responsible attitude and behavior through social interaction and social relationship.
5. To develop awareness on population policies and programs of the government.
6. To understand the nature and cause of climate change affecting the environment.
