PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Purpose:
Based in Gurgaon, reporting to the head of the country planning manager, this is a great hybrid demand, supply
planning and initiative planning role handling a category pan India. The incumbent would holistically integrate
the initiative plan along with long term demand plan for long range business plan (LRBP) sufficiency, for fast
growing product categories. She/ he would also interact with the manufacturing locations/ Physical Distribution
for mid-month adjustment based on supply situation.
Job Responsibilities:

Supporting the Planning Manager in the demand planning elements of the S&OP process, working
closely with the sales, marketing and the regional team.
Responsible for reporting and analysis of forecast accuracy on a monthly basis.
Working with Customer teams to develop two-way communication driving improvements in
forecasting via information sharing.
Working on key project and process improvement work in S & OP process.
Responsible for Inventory Norm Management process & ensuring inventory is maintained within
targets.
Liaise with Contract Manufacturing & Third Party Vendors for sourcing of Finished Goods as per
replenishment requirements.
Master Production Scheduling & Material Planning for In-House Manufactured products.
Ensuring Plan Accuracy & Monitoring Plan Compliance with action plan for improvement in schedule
adherence.
Manage the communication flow on sell through on key activity (including promotions), supporting
proactive response with up to date knowledge.
Support all NPD projects to ensure on-time product introduction and post launch support.
Product life cycle Management with planning for Phase-in & phase-out & recommendation for
rationalization.
Monthly analysis of the slow moving and obsolete stocks (SLOB) and developing liquidating plans
with business teams.
Data analysis from the MIS and ERP systems to enable decision making on a daily basis.
Be the custodian of JDE ERP planning systems.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Related Experience:

Functional Skills:

A degree or equivalent qualification in Science, Engineering, Economics or Business


MBA qualification in a supply chain related discipline
Minimum of 2 years experience in Material Planning and Supply Planning preferably within a vertically integrated FMCG
organization
Knowledge of ERP and MIS systems is an asset
First-hand experience of implementing S&OP process would be an advantage.

Experience/Qualifications:

2-3 years experience in an FMCG or similar manufacturing or planning environment.


An understanding of Business improvement techniques, such as 6 Sigma and/or Green Belt, would be an advantage.
Excellent Microsoft Office skill - including Excel, Word, Outlook & Power Point.
Candidates with hands on project experience will be an added advantage
Familiar with India business environment and regulations
