303 MHz
The Mantis tag offers a long battery life, a small form factor and
robust data payloads. Through the use of connector or daughter cards,
Mantis-series tags can be customized to support a broad range of
integrated sensors. The tags can also be programmed to emit two
beacon signals - one in stationary mode and an optional beacon that
transmits at a faster rate when in motion. While the standard beacon
continually transmits data related to the tagged objects, the
motion-activated beacon rate provides immediate notification of
objects that have been moved or tampered with. Mantis tags are
encased in a heat-reflective polycarbonate and are impact resistant,
splash resistant and temperature stable.
The companion Mantis II readers are used to detect and interpret the
radio frequency data emitted by each asset tag. Read ranges of more
than 1,000 feet can be achieved with optional antenna configurations.
Because all Mantis readers are compatible with both wired and
wireless networks, they can be rapidly and inexpensively integrated
into an organizations IT infrastructure.
