GENTING HIGHLANDS: They are
known for their getting the party
started and monkey business but
halfway through the Black Eyed
Peas concert here yesterday, there
was total silence.
After getting singing several
songs, the mood turned solemn as
band member will.i.am (William
Adams) dedicated the concert to
Genting Group founder Tan Sri Lim
Goh Tong.

Id like to ask
for a moment of
silence to
honour his life
and legacy
WILL.I.AM

A man died recently who was

responsible for the place where we
are today. Id like to ask for a moment of silence to honour his life
and legacy, will.i.am said in his
tribute.
This was followed by a loud round
of applause from an appreciative
crowd.

A style of their own: Members of the Black Eyed Peas, (from left)Taboo, Fergie, will.i.am and apl.de.ap,
performing during their concert at the Genting Arena of Stars in Genting Highlands yesterday.
The concert, held at Genting
Arena of Stars here, started shortly
after 8pm with the group walking
on stage without an opening act.
The songs which the group, made
up of will.i.am, Fergie (Stacey
Ferguson), Apl.de.ap (Allan Pineda

Lindo) and Taboo (Jamie Gomez),

performed included Mama, My
Humps and Dont Lie.
Fergie also performed solo a popular Guns N Roses number, Sweet
Child o' Mine, while will.i.am presented songs from his third album

Songs About Girls.

This is the third time the band is
performing in Malaysia, including a
special performance for the Forces
of Nature tsunami relief mega-concert held in Bukit Jalil, Kuala
Lumpur, in 2005.
