Nomination and Second of Candidate
In accordance with the April 2014 IFC Constitution and Bylaws revisions, there will be no Nominations Meeting for
the official nomination of candidates for Executive Board positions.
In order for the application to be valid, each application must be endorsed by a member of a fraternity different than
the nominee, and seconded by a member of a second fraternity different than his own. A candidate must also produce
a letter from their chapter president certifying that they are in good standing with their organization. If the candidate is
a chapter president, then the letter must come from their chapter advisor. A signature from both endorsers and a letter
of good standing will serve to validate the candidates application. Please attach the letter from your chapter president
or chapter advisor to this application.
After submission of the application to the Vice President of Programming and verification of the endorsements, the
candidate is officially nominated for the position to which he applied and will stand for election at the Election
Meeting.

Please answer the following questions on separate typed pages. Please limit your answers to three pages
maximum with a font size of 12 and single-spaced.
1) List Campus, Community, and Fraternity Involvement.
2) What makes you the best candidate for this position?
3) What is the single most important issue facing the Mizzou Greek Community today, and how would you use
your IFC Executive Board position to impact that issue?
4) What are your other time commitments for the upcoming year?
5) What are some things you would like to accomplish during your term on the IFC Executive Board?
6) What values are most important to you and how do they play a role in your life?
Further Application Information

Applications are due to the VP of Programming mailbox in the Greek Life Office by Wednesday, October
22th at 4pm
The Election Meeting will be on Sunday, November 9th at 11AM (Strickland Hall Room 210) Speeches
will begin at Noon, candidates will be assigned a time to give their speech
Applicant must be nominated by a president of a different chapter, and seconded by a president of a
different chapter different than his own.
Some of the requirements of membership on the IFC Executive Board include:
o Approximately 10-15 hours per week time commitment (office hours, meetings, delegation)
o Attendance at mandatory transition on Sunday, December 14 th for 2014 Executive Board
o Attendance at Installation Dinner on Tuesday, December 9th for 2014 Executive Board
o Attendance at the Greek Leader Retreat January 16 th-18th
To be nominated each nominee must have each of the following requirements fulfilled:
o Must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or above
o Must be an initiated member of his chapter at the time of the Election Meeting
o Must be an initiated member of an Active Chapter of IFC (No Associate Chapters are eligible)
o Must be in good standing with his chapter and university
o Executive Board Members may not participate in the any of the following during their tenure:
Greek Week Steering Committee; Homecoming Steering Committee; GAMMA Steering
Committee; RAMS Steering Committee; Dance Marathon Steering Committee; Greek
Judicial Board; Missouri Student Association President or Vice President; Missouri
Students Association Cabinet Official;
o Executive Board Members may not hold the following positions within their individual chapter
during their tenure:
President, any Vice President position, Recruitment Chair, New Member Educator
The VP of Recruitment Position is expected to live in Columbia over the summer for formal recruitment
and summer welcome.
Candidates are allowed to run for any position(s) they list on the IFC Executive Board Application.
