2. Drive em on!
Any Fodder unit within 3 of a Baron unit, improve their Bravery test to 25%.
3. Large Shield
All Baron units gain a Large Shield for free, unless they are carrying a two handed
weapon/fire arm.
4. Magical Resistance
When a Baron unit is hit by Magic, their Defence is taken with a +1 modifier, instead
of +2.
Fodder
Any unit with Fodder in its Special Rules takes a reduced Bravery test of 40%.
Red Musket
The Red Musket follows the rules for a Musket but with the following exception: it is able to
fire twice in one turn. Only four troops in a squad (min 20 troops per unit) can carry a Red
Musket; these chosen troops are always at the front of the unit.
Violet Rifle
The Violet Rifle follows the rules for a Rifle but with the following exception: maximum
range increased by 2. Only four troops in one squad (min 20 troops per unit) can carry a
Violet Musket; these chosen troops are always at the front of the unit.
Relic Armour
Any unit wearing Relic Armour receives 2+ Defence in melee, shooting and against magic.

Unit loses the Fodder rule and gain the Baron rule
Designers Note:
The Follower unit is the most basic troop for the Baron armies. Followers can be armed with
the Mace, greatly increasing their advantage against armoured opponents and providing
adequate support in a vanguard role.

Designers Note:
Pillagers are a close equivalent of Peasants found in the Kingdom of Man armies, except
that Pillagers dont Stumble. Pillagers are cheap to field in comparison to other units found
in the Baron armies; so I expect to see most players field at least two units of Pillagers in
their army lists.

Designers Note:
With a good selection of upgrades, the Anointed Ones are a strong unit capable of holding
their ground, dealing sufficient damage and bolstering Fodder units; but what they gain in
melee and defence, they lose in ranged combat.

Designers Note:
Though similarly lacking in ranged weaponry, the Vigorians were designed with the belief
that these troops would potentially guard the higher echelons off power, and so, with the
best weaponry and armour available (throw in the Never Fall Back rule as well), you have a
unit that can deal and be dealt high damage without fear of running from the board.
