THE COUNTY OF PEMBROKE (CITY ROAD, HAVERFORDWEST)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC) ORDER 2015
NOTICE is hereby given that Pembrokeshire County Council has made an Order under
Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary
Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order is necessary so that electricity cabling works can be carried out in the narrow carriageway.
The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit all vehicular traffic, other than exempted
vehicles, from proceeding along that section of City Road, Haverfordwest, from its junction
with Highlands Avenue, east to its junction with Perrots Road.
The alternative route for traffic will be via Perrots Road, Thomas Parry Way (A487), St Davids
Road and City Road.
It is intended that the restrictions, which will be signed accordingly, will come into effect on
Thursday 29th January 2015, and remain in force for a duration of approximately 3 weeks.
Pedestrian access will be maintained together with vehicular access to property located either
side of the works area.
The Order will remain valid for a maximum period of 12 months as a contingency should the
works need to be rescheduled or in the event of any unforeseen circumstances.
