Purpose of this Document
The purpose of this document is to aid in SAP GUI installation on user desktops for R3
access as well as Business Explorer access for BI reports.

Prerequisite
Following software has to be installed before SAP GUI installation starts:
Java 2 Runtime Environment, SE v1.4.2_13
Java 2 SDK, SE v1.4_13
Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0
Microsoft Office Standard 2007
For Business Explorer to view reports, first install Office 2007 -> .Net patch -> SAP GUI
All the above software excluding Microsoft Office Standard 2007 can be downloaded free of
cost. The SAP GUI Setup has been stored under the location:
\\gandhali\Software\SAP_GUI_Setup

Installation
Start the installation using SetupAll.exe under:
\\gandhali\Software\SAP_GUI_Setup\PRES1\GUI\WINDOWS\WIN32

After installation is over, the SAP Logon Pad appears on desktop:

To add system to logon pad, click New Item:

In the following screen, enter the parameters required for system access. These will be

provided by
BASIS support team on a need basis. In following screen we are adding retail
quality server RTQ.

Next, select language as English and choose Finish:

Now the system entry appears in systems list, double click on system to logon:

Next login into SAP system designated using credentials provided by your BASIS support
team.
