'O People of the Book! Now hath our Messenger come unto you, expounding unto
you much of that which ye used to hide in the scripture, and forgiving much. Now
hath come unto you Light (Noor) from Allah and a Plain Scripture.'
(THE HOLY QUR'AN 5; 15)
The verse '...Now hath come unto you Light from Allah...' refers to our Master Hadhrat
Muhammad (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), as stated in the
following Tafsirs by the Mufassireen (Muslim scholars of Tafsir). The word 'Bashr'
means human.
10. Tafsir ibn Jar, page 92 - Imam Abu Ja’far Jar Al-Tibia (r.a.)
14. Tafsir Hussaini, page 140 - Allama Mueenuddin Wa’iz Kashfi (r.a.)
15. Tafsir Mazhari, page 67 - Allama Qazi Thana Ullah Pani Pathi (r.a.)
19. Tafsir Thanai, Surah Al-Maidah, p.11 - Molvi Thanaullah Amritsari (r.a.)
We hope that the above references quoted from the numerous Tafsirs are sufficient
enough to prove that the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is indeed NOOR and
BASHR. If you require further information please contact us at the address below:
