My Familys Holiday

Two weeks ago, my family and I decided to spend time of our holiday to go to Solo and
Yogyakarta. We visited grandmother house in Solo and Yogyakarta. We came in some places
during we stayed there. Visiting popular and favorite places was our purpose for coming over
there.
My sister, brother, and I got long holiday after the final exam was over. My father decided to
invite us to go visiting grandmother and spending time of our holiday in Solo and Yogyakarta.
We went over there with driving car. Our first trip went visiting my grandma in Solo. We left
Demak at 4 p.m because my father said we would not trap from traffic jam. We have nice trip
and arrived in Solo at 9 p.m.
As long as over there, we did not just stay at home. My family and I went surrounding the city.
This is beautiful city. Many popular and favorite places, we came in some places in Solo city. We
visited Keraton Solo, alun-alun Solo, traditional market, and Gusdur bridge. Many of people
from other cities came in Keraton Solo, alun-alun, and Gusdur Bridge only for visiting and
taking some picture with the ornaments. My mother and sister invited me to shop in traditional
market named is Klewer. We spent several hours just for shopping in this market. Moreover,
we were so happy because the prices of Batik in Solo is very cheap than our city. After shopping
in Klewer market, we went visiting Gusdur Bridge. We tried to through this bridge because time
showed at 5.30 p.m. My father stop driving and letting us for taking some pictures together. We
were in the middle of the bridge; we enjoyed and tried to see the water that under our stayed.
Many of people waited for Sunset over there. So poor we are, we were so late to see the sun
set. But, it did not become a problem for us. We thought that there is still other day to see it.
Actually, I felt that we were really not lucky at the time.
Two days later, my family and I went visiting my grandmother in DIY (Daerah Istimewa
Yogyakarta). We left Solo city at 9 a.m. and arrived Yogyakarta at 11.45 p.m. Our trip was very
interesting because my father brought us to visit Prambanan. The wonderful temple that I have
ever seen. There, the atmosphere was so hot and the way of reaching Prambanan temple was so
long. We met some tourist and asked for taking a picture together. My mother bought some
beautiful merchandise for my mothers friends and our neighbor. After visiting my grandmother

in Yogyakarta, My family and I decided to go back home in Demak. We left Yogyakarta at 9 p.m.
and arrived at home at 2 p.m.

Although we felt so tired but we were very happy with our holiday in Solo and Yogyakarta. My
family and I enjoyed for our trip. It is one of my best holidays. We never go through to come
Solo and Yogyakarta in our long holidays. Next year, we will be back again J .

The Island of Gods

Last August, I went to Bali Island with my family. I was so excited because it was my first time
to visit Bali Island. We spent five days there. The first thing which came to my mind at the first
time I arrived at Ngurah Rai Airport was beach. When I stepped out from the plane and breathed,
I sniffed the smell of sea water. It made me more excited to start our trip in Bali.
My family and I visited many interesting places in Bali. We went to Tanah Lot, Uluwatu, Kuta
Beach, and Tanjung Benoa. Even though there are so many beaches in Bali, I was not bored with
them because each beach was unique. Tanah Lot is a rocky beach with wild waves. It has big
caves and rocks surround the beach. Uluwatu lies on the top of cliff. From that place we could
see the sea view which was the most gorgeous scenery I have ever seen. Kuta Beach is maybe
the most famous beach in Bali. There were both local and foreign tourists surfing or just sun
bathing. The best time to come to Kuta Beach is in the evening to see the sun set. It was so
romantic. Tanjung Benoa is a very nice beach. The wind and waves were just right to do water
sport. I did not want to miss this chance and tried to do parasailing. At first, I was so afraid
because I would be flying high. It turned out that when I was flying, I enjoyed it very much. I
could see the view of the city from the sky.
Beside the beaches, Bali Island is also famous for its culture. I could see it from the Balineses
life. Along the road I saw that almost all buildings have small puraat the front side. Every
morning, they always pray and put sajen, or offerings, at their pura, house, shop, or even in their
car. I also saw the abundance of Balinese culture through the well known dances of Bali,
Barong and Kecak. Barong Dance tells about a fight between good and evil, between Barong and
Rangda. At the end, Barong won, and Rangda ran away. I was amazed by the female dancers.
They were so beautiful and their movements were supple, yet energetic at the same time. In the
evening, I watched Kecak Dance. The story in Kecak Dance is taken from Ramayana. I had the
impression that Kecak Dance was mystical but also astonishing at the same time.
At the end of the trip, we went to Sukawati Market to buy souvenirs for ourselves and friends.
You could find almost anything about Bali in Sukawati Market. I found a cute dress for myself,
wooden craft statue, sandals, hair accessories, and paintings. What make this market special are
the friendly sellers and friendly price. The goods are so cheap if you know how to bargain.
Finally, we have come to the end of my trip in Bali. I felt that time run so fast. I was so sad
because I had to leave that beautiful place. In Bali, I did not only visit beautiful places but I also

learned about its culture. I would always remember my beautiful trip in Bali and promised
myself to go back there again another time.

Organic Farming of Food

Europe is now the biggest market for organic food in the world and it is so popular. Organic
farming means farming with natural, rather than man. Made fertilizers and pesticides. Organic
farmers rely on various techniques, such as crop rotation and the use of resistant varieties that are
used to some extent in conventional farming. The of organic farming is to minimize external
inputs and create a self-sufficient. Close system, self-sufficiency, in this sense. Organic farming
is often claimed to be safer than conventional farming, for the environment, for our children and
for us.
Toxin is one of the example is supporters of organic farming that man made fertilizer is
environmentally damaging. The notion that organic food is safer than normal food is also
contradicted by the fact that many of our most common foods cue full of natural toxins. Many
kinds of food that we prefer eating reflect how we relate for nature. For most of human history
the more artificial and elaborate our diet. The ancient Romans distinguished between food not as
proteins V carbohydrates, or even meat V vegetables, but as cultivate V wild and Europeans
surrounded by plentiful food fear not nature, but science a dominant contemporary fear that
people are wrecking nature. This is the real significance of the nap poll is. It is not a vote of
positive support for traditional or organic farming.
The organic farming movement is a luxury for people in safe. Because European agriculture is
among the safest in the world. They have serious problem with farming; these involve funding,
distribution and subsidies. They do not directly affect consumers, and they are not remotely
about dangerous substances lurking in our food so they can be fool and mouth disease. While an
economic disaster for farmers, presents no risk to human health. But Europedose not need the
number of farms if has in order to produce the food if needs, whit her for domestic consumption
or trade abroad. Organic farming is gentle way of retiring farmland. So European governments
can pacify farmers while appearing in tune with public demand for more natural food. In the fact
organic methods require more labor and land than conventional ones to get the same yields is a
good thing to a farmer in aural Mozambique it is a disaster, so starved and erupt yields so low
that there simply is not enough organic matter to put back into the soil.
