THE BAPTISM OF THE LORD

Advent support to the Orphans in Uganda

I would like to extend my sincere
thanks to the children in the CCD
class, their catechists and parents
for their support to orphans in
Uganda. The children raised
$126.00 during the Advent Season 2014, to help orphans in
Uganda. As each orphan has already received a goat
to raise, the donations will help orphans to start a
new project of planting fruits trees, starting with
mangos. Each Mango seedling cost $2.00. The
strategy is to make the donations multiply so that
the orphans have sustainable food supply for their
nutrition care, share with families, children with
special needs or disabled children, also share with
the lonely and helpless elderly people in the community. The suffering of the children with special
needs, the lonely and helpless elderly people in rural village communities are untold stories. The project of planting mangos, will start next month once
the rain starts to fall.
May God bless our children for their charitable
heart and spirit of sacrifice.
Yours in Christ,
Fr. John Bosco

Daily Prayer for Priests

O Jesus,
I pray for your faithful and; fervent priests;
For your unfaithful and tepid priests;
For your priests laboring at home or
Abroad in distant mission fields.
For your tempted priests;
For your lonely and desolate priests;
For your young priests; For your dying priests;
For the souls of your priests in Purgatory.
But above all, I recommend to you
The priests dearest to me;
The priest who baptized me;
The priests who absolved me from my sins;
The priests at whose Masses
I assisted and who gave me
Your Body and Blood in Holy Communion;
The priests who taught and instructed me;
All the priests to whom I am indebted
in any other way
(especially...)
O Jesus, keep them all close to your heart,
And bless them abundantly
in time and in Eternity,

Amen

ANNUAL BABY SHOWER
JANUARY 17TH - 18TH AND
JANUARY 24TH - 25TH

Your overwhelming generosity enabled Common

Ground to deliver a weeks worth of food to 92
Spring Valley school children and their families
who found themselves in need this year. You alone
answered the call. Be assured that your gift is very
much appreciated.
Also, several of our parishioners stepped forward to
offer their help in the Common Ground ministry.

Their willingness to serve will make a big difference in the lives of our neighborhood children.
The Giving Tree. Families in need found a friend
in you this year, as tags requesting shoes, jackets,
pants and other clothing, were rescued from the
tree. Our parish provided gifts for children in more
than 40 families.
Your gifts of love are most appreciated. If you have

any questions about our Common Ground ministry,

please call Dennis or Michelle Regan at (619) 6701520 .
