MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE


1.

Professor

Minimum Qualification
Ph.D. from HEC recognized Institution in the relevant field.
Experience: 15-years teaching/ research experience in HEC recognized University or a post-graduate
Institution or Professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization.
OR
10 years post-Ph.D. Teaching / Research experience in a recognized University or a post-graduate
institute or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization.

2.

Associate
Professor

Minimum Number of Publications: The applicant must have 15 research publications (with at least
05 publications in last 5 years) in the HEC recognized journals.
Minimum Qualification
Ph.D. in the relevant field an HEC recognized University/ Institution.
Experience: 10-years teaching/ research experience an HEC recognized University or a postgraduate Institution or Professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International
Organization.
OR
5-years post-Ph.D teaching/research experience in a HEC recognized University or a Post-graduate
Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization.
Minimum Number of Publications: The applicant must have 10 research publications (with at least
04 publications in last 5 years) in the HEC recognized journals.

3.

Assistant

Minimum Qualification

Professor

Ph.D. in the relevant field from HEC recognized University/Institution.


No Experience required.
OR
Masters degree (foreign) OR M.Phil (Pakistan) OR equivalent degree awarded after 18 years of
education as determined by the HEC in the relevant field an HEC recognized University/Institution.
04 years teaching / research experience in an HEC recognized University or a post-graduate
Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization.

Note: M.Phil converted in to Ph.D. will also be eligible for the post of Assistant Professor.
4.

Lecturer

Minimum Qualification
First Class Masters Degree OR equivalent degree awarded after 16 Years of education in the relevant
field from an HEC recognized University/Institution with no 3rd division in the academic career.
Condition of no 3rd Division shall not be applicable in the qualification of appointment as Lecturer in
University or Degree Awarding Institutions provided that the candidate holds a higher degree viz.
M.Phil./Ph.D or equivalent degree with no more than one 3rd division in entire academic career.
Furthermore, the candidate with 2nd division in the Masters degree but holding higher degree i.e
M.Phil/Ph.D or equivalent degree with 18 years of education may be Considered.
*First division (1st Division) in Master of Arts in English is relaxed in favour of the second division
(2nd Division) as the Minimum eligibility condition for appointment of Lecturers in English for Annual
System degree holders for a period of five years with effect from 24.02.2007
Experience Not Required

experience of teaching in any University well versed with working of semester system.

four (04) years experience in related field.

7.

Data
Entry
Operator

BS in I.T / Computer Science with typing speed of 45 wpm. Knowledge of Windows XP /


2007 / Drivers Installation and of MS-Office, Internet, is mandatory.

8.

Nurse

Experience: 01 year experience in similar position.

Diploma in General Nursing and Diploma in Pediatric Nursing form an accredited


Educational Institution approved by Pakistan Nursing Council.
Experience
01. At least 5 to 6 Years of Working of Experiences form any reputed Public or private

Prescribed application form for the posts B-17 and above are obtainable from the Office of the Deputy
Registrar (Admn.Teach.) on payment of Rs.1000/- each, through a Bank Challan, payable in Habib Bank
Ltd. Allama I.I. Kazi Campus, Jamshoro and Elsa Kazi Campus, Hyderabad OR form may be dounload form
Sindh University website www.usindh.edu.pk and submit alongwith pay order Rs./1000/= issued in
favour of Director Finance, University of Sindh, Jamshoro.
Application form with full particulars along with attested photo copies of CNIC, Degrees, Pass and
Marks Certificates from Matriculation onwards and transcripts should reach in the office of the Registrar
on or before 06.02.2015.

c.

The applications received after due date/ incomplete in any manner shall not be entertained and shall be
rejected.

d.

Applicants already in-service should apply through proper channel. Applications not received through
proper channel shall not be entertained.

Candidates applying for more than one post shall submit separate application forms with required
documents, complete in all respects.
A recent passport size photograph should be affixed on the application form.
