HEKS-EPER Swiss Church Aid is the aid organisation of the Protestant Churches of

Switzerland and has its headquarters in Zurich/Switzerland. HEKS provides


humanitarian and emergency aid and tackles the causes of hunger, injustice and
social deprivation both in Switzerland and abroad. HEKS has its own coordination
offices in approximately 20 key countries and around 200 projects worldwide. HEKS is
a member of the ACT Alliance.
For our Philippines Response for the Rehabilitation phase after Typhoon
Haiyan/Yolanda, HEKS Humanitarian Aid Department is looking to recruit a strong
candidate as per February 20th, 2015 or earlier to fulfil the role of
HEKS Finance and administrative delegate to the Philippines (100%)
Duty station: Iloilo City, Panay Island, Philippines
Your responsibilities

Be responsible for the monitoring of all administrative and financial documents


produced by HEKS accounting / bookkeeping staff in Panay Island / Philippines, by
financial department of partner organisations and by external consultants
Ensure that HQs procedures and policies are conform with local laws and
regulation and adapt them if necessary
Visit regularly the humanitarian project implementation sites of Panay island in
order to support the logistic and financial activities in the field (HEKS and partner
organisation) and monitor how financial and logistic procedures are carried out in
the field
Support set up and supervise implementation of administrative, financial and
logistical framework of the national partner organisations
Contribute to / participate in capacity building in administration (including
documentation) and finances for HEKS national team in Iloilo and the partner
organizations according to Swiss Solidarity and HEKS standards
Prepare necessary documents for the annual audits, identify together with HEKS
humanitarian delegate an appropriate audit company and accompany the audit
company during the audit.
Develop monthly financial reports for all humanitarian aid projects
Provide ongoing assistance to the HEKS- humanitarian delegate in the daily
administrative (including HR), financial, logistical and operational tasks of the
humanitarian aid projects on Panay Island.

Your profile:

Advanced university degree in finance or business administration


Minimum 5 years of work experience in administration and accounting
Professional experience abroad in a humanitarian / development aid setting (at
least 3 years)
High levels of social skills, flexibility, cross-cultural adaptability and sensitivity,
initiative, ability to conceptualize, talent for negotiation
Solid team management skills

Excellent written and oral proficiency in English, knowledge of German and


Tagalog are assets
