Run the Suspension Analyses
Static
• From the Simulate menu, point to Full-Vehicle Analysis, point to
Static_and_Qstatic_Maneuvers, and select Static_Equilibrium:
• none, normal, settle
• straight (60mph, 6th gear)
• skidpad (60m radius, .2g, 4th gear), (100m radius, .1g, 4th gear for Tractor&Trailer)
Straight-Line Events
• From the Simulate menu, point to Full-Vehicle Analysis, and select Straight-Line Events:
• open-loop acceleration (10s, 500 steps, 35kph, start .5s, final throttle 100, .5s step time, 2nd
gear, straight-line steering, shift gears, qss)
• closed-loop acceleration (10s, 500 steps, 35kph, start .5s, 0.05g, 2nd gear, straight-line
steering, qss)
• open-loop braking (5s, 500 steps, 60mph, start .5s, final brake 80, 1s duration, 6th gear,
straight-line steering, qss)
• closed-loop braking (5s, 500 steps, 60mph start .5s, .5g, 6th gear, straight-line steering, qss)

Run the Full Vehicle Analyses
Closed-Loop Cornering
• From the Simulate menu, point to Full-Vehicle Analysis, and select Open Loop Steering
Events:
• dynamic constant radius
with static setup (4th gear, 60m radius, .2g initial, .25g final, 10sec duration for Tractor)
without static setup (40m entry, 3sec settle time)
• braking-in-turn (4th gear, .2g lateral, 85m radius, maintain radius, .2g decel, 5s duration, qss)
• quasi-static constant radius (.4g and 85m radius)
