SANTERASMO

For the Expo 2015 this city is renewing its status as

a laboratory of modernity, and still today, if we look
a little further to include the lagoon, the amniotic
liquid from which it was born, it has a lot to say on
contemporary trends towards sustainability, and the
biological and ecological vision of the city fabric.
The agricultural and rural environment is used
as the basis for innovative operations that create
new models in food production and distribution,
hospitality, education, research, art, the relationship
with landscape. This injection of knowledge and
innovation is necessary to guarantee the continuing
existence of the rural dimension and reinvent a
model for the future.

CANALI VILLAGE

Borgo Canali is a new way of thinking the

territorial development that is based on the land
naturalization as an important instrument to avoid
the ground consumption. The area is an example
of agricultural desert, an intensive monoculture
mechanized system typical of the Pianura Padana.
The proposal for an agricultural and environmental
regeneration of Borgo Canali is the first case study
of Reggio Emilia and there will also be some high
quality housing units constructed with sustainable
aims, prefabrication advanced techniques, ecological
compensation systems and low emissions production.

BROLETTO OF INNVOVATION

The
project
for
the
incubator
broletto
dellinnovazione and the redevelopment strategy
for Via Bovio aims at establishing a new relation
between the city, green areas, urban society and
working or researchs spaces. Three consequential
parts create the logic and the content of this project.
The first one defines the public spaces and the paths
that orient and emphasize the buildings. The second
action concentrates all the activities into one single
building, to minimize the ground use. The third
strategy clears the ground floor space of the building
that becomes a semi-public square that connects the
building with the new Via Bovio and the natural
environment of the north river.

CRYSTALLINE

The projects aim for the energetic requalification

of HFDABAKKI 9 offices, is to re-establish a new
relationship between the building and the nature.
With the new park and a reflecting pool it is possible
to merge buildings and environement and improve
the areas quality. In addition a glasshouse would
increase the wellbeing allowing a relationship
between users and the surrounding, during winter
time. Inside the space is characterized by modular
elements to create a variety of areas of interest or
situations in support of working activities and to
garantee flexibility and durability easily disassembling
materials and parts. A new cladding would renew the
image of an exhisting landmark, recalling the aurora
borealis, taking advantage of solar heating.

OFFICITY

The OFFICITY idea is based on a detailed analysis of

the Hippostalo office building and its relation with the
urban context. The intended main transformation lies
in the changed meaning of the work environment; a
critical transformation from a workplace into a space
for work, reactivating those external relationships
with the outdoor reset by the Taylorist notion. The
Workplace is then transformed into OFFICITY; an
open space that exempts from self-contemplation and
helps to rediscover some lost relationships in the urban
environment. The new offices explicit the possibility
that voids are articulated by flexible devices, not
partitioning because the change is lurking. ACTION
for us is the principal criteria for space management.

SAN SIRO MUSEUM

Under the seats platform of San Siro stadium, the

oldest part of the structure (1928), DONTSTOP has
developed the new itinerary of San Siro museum.
The aim of this big open space is to sight the volume
of the seats and feel the magnitude of the whole
construction.
This space is dedicated to the memory and the story of
this important site and the evolution of the two main
teams of the city with their national and international
victory.

The project for FC Internazionales offices is a part

of the program of renovation of San Siro stadium.
The space under the seats platform is organized into
isolated boxes that contain the private function.
This system doesnt interfere with the perception
of this big and bright open space that becomes a
meeting area where people can move freely.

SAN SIRO TEMPORARY MUSEUM

The project of San Siro Temporary Museum is an

important part of the strategy program for the whole
San Siro Stadium. It is supposed to receive the visitors
of the museum outside the construction site during
the requalifications works. The identity of this
temporary structure is related to its flexibility, both
spatial and constructive. It has been realised through
the repetition and the movement of modular
panels. These single blocks, similar to containers,
are organized around a court on two levels, with a
perimetral gallery and a double high space in the
middle.

II RING SERVICES

The restoration project of the G.Meazza Stadium-San

Siro is related to a larger re-development program
of this historical sport facility in Milan. Architectural
and plant interventions are planned in order to adapt
the whole structure to the new sport regulations
and to improve the service and security standards.
The aim is to obtain the UEFA qualification as Elite
Stadium to host the final Champions Leagues match
along with the international event Milan EXPO 2015.
This is the perfect occasion to imagine new functions,
able to limit the waste of resources, to offer a better
hospitality to the spectators and to increase the
services and security standards.

SAN SIRO SERVICES

The project of thefirst ring consists of a set of specific

interventions within existing local distributed around
the ring to reorganize equipment requests, improve
the operation, administration and maintenance.
Interventions related to the third ring consist in
adapting the structure to safety standards. The new
amenities, such as bar, toilet, infirmaries will be
redeployed inside the towers on the four corners of
the ring in anticipation a rearrangement functionally
at odds of two walkways along the third ring forums.

APPIANO GYM

The project of the new gym inside the sport centre

of Angelo Moratti of Appiano Gentile derives from
the changing needs of the athletic activities of an
international football team.
Integration of this new structure in the territorial
park of La Pineta became possible by planking the
main volume with natural wood to have less impact
on the mountain landscape.

SPORT PARK SAN SIRO

The reorganization project for the area of San Siro

Meazza stadium starts from the necessity to redefine
the spaces that come from the new metro lines of
Milan.
Around the parking area, divided by functions and
uses, this proposal locates a public park to be used
by the neighborhood and also for the spectators of
sport events.
In this way it would be possible to integrate the
support services and at the same time give a public
green space to the community.

MONZA

The project concerns the redevelopment of

Cotonificio Fossati for the construction of the new
headquarters of the Chamber of commerce industry
Craftmanship Agriculture of Monza and Brianza.
The new volume of the Conference room for its
functional characteristics was designed as a single
and homogeneous volume and overlook the parking
space, that become a new public space for access to
buildings. The conferences volume is covered with
wood paneling that divide the Congress functions
from administrative and directional ones.

RESIDENTIAL PARK

The Residential Park of Lodi becomes an

experimental district constructed with innovative
sustainable advanced systems and low power
consumption. Furthermore it is a new urban organism
that connects very different social realities and
systems. This area has an high density concentration
of activities, typical of cities centre, with the aim of
minimizing the use of the ground and creating free,
green, public spaces. The aim is to create an high
quality living space for the city of Lodi, with a new
concept of centrality, an innovative way of living in
contact with green spaces and being, at the same
time, so close to the centre of Milan thanks to the
railway lines.

WOOD HOUSE

Casa Bosco is a project for low-cost, fast-construction,

housing units prefabricated in wood. The low density infill
housing project has a series of distinctive characteristics:
1.Ideal for unused small urban and periurban areas and
can thus be used as to fill in or stitch together fabric;
2.Due to its flexibility, the project allows the composition
of differentiated users;
3.The presence of micro modules permits the
participation in the final layout of the apartment;
4. The extensive use of wood permits the activation of the
complete production chain that within the Milanese area;
5.The project foresees the creation of a protocol of
environmental compensation (planting of trees) that can
activate a cycle of production and consumption of energy.

MEET DESIGN

This important event during the Milan design week

2012 aimed at putting together heterogeneous
places, situations, various objects, several events but
especially different people.
A taxonomy of objects twists and turns from room to
room like a Darwins evolution. In this itinerary its
possible to recognize hybridization, evolution and
also interruption of material, form, ideas through
the years. As the objects reflect themselves in the
glass support, similarly the people walking through
the exhibition can see their own memory and the
symbolism inside each object.

KINGS GARDEN

Kings Garden is a kitchen garden model able to

host different activities and thoughts regarding the
production and the experimentation of domestic
agriculture. Kings Garden explores and experiments
on how agriculture and design culture can influence
everyday life, and how this can be the engine for an
enzymatic innovation. Kings Garden is a laboratory
reproducible in different places. Thanks to its
flexibility it can be displayed in different contexts,
enabling an immediate and unexpected dialogue with
the public.

GREEN PIPES

Green pipes is an experiment between bricolage and

design. The aim of this exhibition is to show to the
people such themes as vertical growing and inspire
them to have a creative approach to recycling waste
material as functional elements.
This set-up, assembled with colored PVC pipes, is
an example that is possible to reply also in domestic
spaces. Besides its modular system allows to play
with different forms and dimensions beyond the
limits of imagination.

SPICES CLUSTER

Spice Voyage pavilion, inside the Expo 2015, offer to

the visitors a trip experience into the contemporary
world, represented by the variety of uses and the
different spices from several worlds culture.
Between the pavilions a mesh roof create different
areas and situations.
A knowledge voyage into experience zone where
is possible to find taste areas, growing spaces,
installations, exhibitions, technological support for
events.

CASA ITALO - NTV

The concept for Casa.italo, which defines a fluid

service space for travellers by means of a hightechnology perimeter and circular island
furnishing units, makes it possible to give physical
form to the interiors for travellers using the NTV
Nuovo Trasporto Viaggiatori (New Transport for
Travellers) service. The modularity of the system
makes it possible to provide a balance of services
and equipment in the various stations, both those in
which only a minimum area is available, and those
that are larger and already have more services
available for travellers.

ACROSS CHINESE CITIES- BEIJING

Across Chinese Cities Beijing an unprecedented

investigation into the Chinese capitals spatial
program woven into its otherly modern project
(Hay, Double Modernity, Para-Modernity, 2008) which
situates its traces by taking the historical district
of Dashilar as a case study. In making resonant
the sedimental knowledge of archetypal and
architectural past throughout the city from the early
1600s, the exhibition therefore looks at processes of
continuous adaptation from times present and past
which remain paradigmatic for many contemporary
cities like Beijing.
Across Chinese Cities Beijing is a conversation
between built forms and communities around an
architecture of resilience and relationships unique to
Beijing and the Dashilar area.
