Dear Parents /Guardians,

Ere I proceed, let me wish you a very happy, promising and fruitful New Year 2015. May this year find
us focusing more on our childrens well being and their all round development.
Dear Parents, our attitude to the education of our children needs to be changed from mere acquisition
of knowledge and technical skills to a new paradigm of proper attitude to life. Eminent educationists
say that the four important aspects of education are: i) learning to be; ii) learning to know; iii)
learning to do; iv) learning to live with each other.
The most important of these is surely learning to live, the neglect of which is manifested in childrens
violent behaviour, intolerance, lack of respect, misuse of social media, internet etc. You will agree
when I say that the real teachers for kids are not so much the school teachers, but the parents
themselves. It is the bounden duty and responsibility of every parent to teach their children how to
be, how to cope with the ups and downs of life, to give them comfort without over-pampering them, to
teach them values that are more important than just acquiring a degree, and to teach them to be
responsible without overburdening them with high, and sometimes unrealistic expectations. More
importantly children need to be taught that the life is given by God to be happy, to smile, to live it to
the fullest and do their best leaving the rest to God.
At the beginning of the New Year it is good to recall the words of famous Nobel laureate Gabriel
Mistral: Any of the things we need can wait; the child cannot. To him, we cannot answer, tomorrow.
His name is Today. Yes, dear parents, every today is the day to spend some quality time with your
children; for your time is the best and the most expensive gift you can give to your child. Blend habits
in them that bring roots of responsibility and wings of independence. Each day of this year hug your
child, dine with them, speak to them and laugh with them whenever you can. As tensions, problems
and divisions in the families are on the increase, children are the worst affected. We need to make
God the centre of our lives and our families. Please teach them to respect and greet the parents, elders
and teachers. While academic excellence is considered the most important, let the children be
reminded that academic failure is not the end but just a minor setback in the journey of life, and that
great people like Albert Einstein, Thomas Edison, Abraham Lincoln, Steve Jobbs and Harvards
favourite dropout Bill Gates and many others have excelled in life, despite failing in academic pursuits.
I dont mean to say that academic excellence is less important. Lets remember the famous words of
our dear Nobel Laureate Sir Rabindranath Tagore: I do not love you because you are smart or clever
or obedient or whatever good qualities you have. I love you because you are my child.
In our mission of educating your children, dear Parents, I request you to share with us your expertise,
whole-hearted cooperation, support, valuable suggestions, sincere feedback, creative ideas and
constructive criticism. Lets do our best to make education a joyful learning experience for our
children to help them become finer human beings.

I am sure the New Year 2014 has started on a promising note with a hope of betterment. Its
time that each of us works with renewed energy, taking stock of the bygone days. During this
New Year, lets approach our children believing in their potential and banking on their
goodness, openness, readiness and giftedness. Journeying with them giving quality time to
listen, guide, understand and reprimand when necessary, will ensure their steady growth.
Looking for their capabilities and not for flaws will generate in them self confidence. No
school, no teacher can give what the parents can and should give. So help them direct all their
attention and energy towards their academics, activities and the approaching Final
Examination. It is said that if a lot of us do a little, a lot gets done.
Dear Children
The New Year has unfolded like a blossom with petals curled tightly concealing the beauty
within. Each of your days ahead is going to be a masterpiece if you fill it with lovely colours of
determination, hard work and self study. Remember the Divine Painter above is watching to
see how best you colour it and He is ever ready to help whenever you get off line. He has sent
your parents and teachers as His messengers to provide you comfort, love and be beside you
in all moments of struggle and strife.
Make this New Year a time of opportunities, judiciously using time in hand to harness a whole
lot of power within you to achieve anything that comes your way be it examination or
competition. Do more than think participate; Do more than believe practice; Do
more than dream work.

Another fresh and new year is here

To live each day with zest
To banish all worry and fear
And to give humankind our best.
Every New Year enkindles a hope of betterment. We envision an ever progressive outlook
and work with renewed energy, taking stock of the bygone days.
The Year 2014 has started on a promising note. Every student
has been a winner
in his/her own way in academics, in activities and in other endeavours. He/She has worked
effortlessly, put forward his/her best in the year gone by.
We believe in their potential and bank on their individualism. With the onset of the New Year,
lets bring newness, a transition in our approach towards our children. Holding them in our
loving care and guidance, lets walk with them, give all our time, listen, respect and
understand their views. Walking with them lets not look for flaws but for their capabilities
that we can enhance by giving all our patience and time.
No teacher of a coaching class can do enough and make them learn the way they can. You are
the best teacher at home for them. So help them direct all their attention and energy towards
their studies and the approaching Final Examination. If a lot of us do a little, a lot gets done.
