Transforming Initiative 1: Establish formative feedback and data
analysis processes to increase academic achievement of all students
Formative feedback, coupled with analysis of data collected in the process provides a
basis for differentiating instruction and improving overall instructional delivery. Based
on a review of Reading 3D and End-Of-Grade data, Shawboro Elementary School needs
to focus on implementing processes and strategies that will be used school-wide to
increase academic growth in all content areas.

Monitor strategies being utilized during quarterly walkthroughs and provide


constructive feedback
Conduct yearly peer classroom observations
Use monthly PST process to target subgroups and provide them appropriate
instructional strategies
Analyze data through monthly PLC meetings and quarterly data review meetings
(including discipline and attendance data)
Utilize in-house Title I personnel to provide instructional support to those
identified as at risk
Utilize in-house tutoring in Math and Reading to provide additional differentiated
support to students identified through data analysis
