ENTRANCE (Standing)
(If there is no Entrance Song, the Entrance Antiphon is said)
People:
May the Lord send you help from the holy place and give you support from
Zion. May he grant you your hearts desire and fulfill every one of your designs.
After the bridal procession, when the Bride, the Bridegroom and the entourage have taken
their respective places, the Mass starts.
Christ loved the Church and handed himself over for her, to present
her as a holy and spotless bride for himself.
Priest:
People:
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen
Priest (quietly);
What has passed our lips as food, O Lord, may we possess in purity of
heart, that what has been given to us in time may be our healing for eternity.
Priest:
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the
Holy Spirit be with you all.
And with your spirit.
After everyone had received communion, the respective sponsors remove the cord and the veil.
My brothers and sisters, todays Mass is (he introduces the Mass). Within this
Mass, we are going to have a wedding ceremony. Two members of our Christian
community, Roland and April, will be united in the Holy Sacrament of Matrimony.
Both the Mass and the wedding are public ceremonies. At a wedding, the members
of the congregation stand as witness. All of you, therefore, take an active part in the
offering of this Mass. Let us unite as one, and pray for the success of this marriage.

COMMUNION RITE
THE LORDS PRAYER. (The couple remains kneeling, the congregation standing)

Priest:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name: thy kingdom
come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our
daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who
trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us
from evil.
You are the people of God; he loved you and chose you for his own. So then, you must
clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Be tolerant
with one another and forgive one another whenever any of you has a complaint against someone
else. You must forgive one another just as the Lord has forgiven you. And to all these qualities
add love, which binds all things together in perfect unity. The peace that Christ gives is to guide
you in the decisions you make; for it is to this peace that God has called you together in the one
body. And be thankful, Christs message in all its richness must live in your hearts. Teach and
instruct one another with all wisdom. Sing psalms, hymns and sacred songs; sing to God with
thanksgiving in your hearts. Everything you do or say, then, should be done in the name of the
Lord Jesus, as you give thanks through him to God the Father.
The Word of the Lord.
ACCLAMATION 1 Jn 4, 12
People:
Alleluia, alleluia.
If we love one another, God lives in union with us, and his love is brought to
perfection in us.
Alleluia, alleluia.

Priest:
Some Pharisees approached Jesus, and tested him, saying, Is it lawful for a man to
divorce his wife for any cause whatever? He said in reply, Have you not read that
from the beginning the Creator made them male and female and said, For this
reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two
shall become one flesh?. So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what
God has joined together, man must not separate.

your right hands and express your intention before God and his Church.

PREFACE
Priest:
Grant us, O Lord, to be one heart and one soul, from this day
forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in
health, until death do us part.
It is truly right and just, our duty and our salvation, always and everywhere to give you
thanks, Lord, holy Father, almighty and eternal God. For you have forged the
covenant of marriage as a sweet yoke of harmony and an unbreakable bond of
peace, so that the chaste and fruitful love of holy Matrimony may serve to increase
the children you adopt as your own. By your providence and grace, O Lord, you
accomplish the wonder of this twofold design: that, while the birth of children brings
beauty to the world, their rebirth in Baptism gives increase to the Church, through
Christ our Lord.
Through him, with the Angels and all the Saints, we sing the hymn of your praise, as
without end we acclaim:
People:
Holy, holy, holy, Lord God of hosts. Heaven and earth are full of your
glory. Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the
Lord. Hosanna in the highest.
Amen.
Priest:
For the Holy Church, spread all over the world, for its leaders and for the rulers of
our nation; let us pray to the Lord.
The Groom takes the arrhae in both hands. The Bride places her cupped hands under those of the Groom.
The Groom lets the arrhae fall into the hands of the Bride, saying after the priest:

Roland:
Leader:
For the poor and the sick, and for all those in trial and affliction; let us pray to the
Lord.
For Roland and April, that he may keep their hearts united forever; let us pray to the
Lord.
That he may protect them from evil, lighten their burdens and fortify them in their
trials; let us pray to the Lord.
That he may stir up the grace of the Sacrament in all the married couples here
present; let us pray to the Lord.
People: Amen.
Almighty, eternal God, look down with favour upon your servants. Grant them to
remain faithful to you and to one another. At the end of a long and well spent life,
reward them with eternal happiness, together with their children and with all those
who love them. Through Christ our Lord.
